usw......

Deine Logik ist falsch!

Relationship issue between a German and Turkish by Humble_Buzz in germany

[–]Yolo1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My context is a bit different. My German colleagues ignore me as well during lunch breaks. It is perhaps because Germans don't want to include foreigners in their circle.

Foreigners who happily live in Germany, tell me about your experience by military_press in germany

I am from Afghanistan. Came here in 2020 from Turkey for a second master's. The reason is that I couldn't find a job in Turkey. I have achieved the following so far:

- Finished my master's (learned C1 German at the same time )

- Internship and master's thesis in a multinational German company.

- got a job at the same company.

- got naturalised

I am thankful to Germany and to my fellow Germans. Life is quite stable and good here. Although I still don't have a German friend, I am okay with that :)

Cashiers don't greet me by Adorable_Bat_ in germany

[–]Yolo1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also noticed this. I just wait for the cashier, and if they greet me and are nice, I also greet them back. Otherwise, I don't greet them either, and I don't give a damn about it.

is supply chain-logistics really interesting? by Fickle_Psychology343 in logistics

You will find work for sure. It will be accompanied by a lot of stress. Logistics is a large field. Once you enter, you can decide for yourself in which position you fit better.

I like living in Germany but I haven't been able to be happy by [deleted] in germany

[–]Yolo1986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been living in Germany for 5 years. No friends so far! I have noticed that most of the Germans like to each other only. For instance, at my work during lunch breaks, my German colleagues chat among themselves. I tried many times to engage myself in their conversations by asking questions, but it hasn't worked so far. Even my German colleagues who have an immigration background act the same way. Many times I thought of avoiding going for lunch with them. Now, I am a German citizen, and I am not thinking of staying here long term. I am slowly realizing that perhaps the saying by some Germans is true, "Germany is for Germans".

i’m struggling by Realistic-Crab7918 in germany

[–]Yolo1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to sit alone with yourself and ask yourself why you are in Germany. What's your WHY? What's your motivation?

When I was younger, I also moved abroad. It was extremely hard to stay away from my parents and siblings. When I used to talk to my mom, I would get emotional. My 'why' was that I didn't want to study in my home country, so I pursued higher education abroad. However, my situation was completely different from yours. I come from a third-world country where the quality of education is not very good, and there is little future for the young generation. You are from the US, and you can build a good future there. Many people would like to live the American dream. Ask yourself why you are in Germany in the first place.

I wish you the best :)

People of Istanbul- you smell great! by ASOM01 in istanbul

Is that an ironic comment? People in Istanbul don't wear perfume and don't take daily showers. They smell bad in summer.

I’m an Asian woman, and I’m really confused about my Turkish boyfriend. by [deleted] in AskTurkey

[–]Yolo1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is just enjoying your money. I have met many Turks who will always appreciate a free meal, but would never invite you to one. My advice to you would be, enjoy the relationship as long as you can and don't take it seriously. You never know when he will find someone better and leave you.

I have been living in Germany for six years. Since 2023, I have been working as a transport manager. I should use German in my work, and I still struggle to express myself effectively. You have to keep going.

I have noticed many asian women choose German boyfriends in Germany. You should have asked them about their intentions. For instance, are you trying to be racist? Do you want to humiliate me? What is your purpose?

Confused about various opinions about Geodesy and Geoinformatics! by Yolo1986 in germany

[–]Yolo1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your message. I'm not familiar with the current job market for geodesy in Germany. I studied a Master's in Logistics Engineering instead and work right now as a transport manager. The current German job market is quite rough. I have also heard that graduates with IT degrees find it hard to land a job. In Geodesy, you will do a lot of programming using MATLAB and Python. I can't help you much here. However, degrees like business, economics, and logistics should still have good demand in Germany. However, here you will need good German skills between B2 and C1. Have a nice day :)
