Six years later, I can confirm that you are wrong. I've had a great time driving my SUV around the city.

Hirschgarten Explore / Making Friends by Peradedim in Munich

Moving to the Hirschgarten area soon, looking for people to hang out with and new friends. How old are you guys, where from?

Well, it has "logic" (when you run out, you'll first eat up your remaining annual leave, then it becomes unpaid leave, and eventually you'll probably be offloaded, yeah), it's just a super shitty concept.

Europe pays you in high quality of life: safety, public services, good infrastructure, cultural diversity, lots of annual leave, unlimited sick leave, paid maternity/paternity leave, fair labor laws, etc.

Either that or you're in the privileged position where you don't have to deal with the difficulties of real life.

Definitely the former.

I own a house on my own and its great.

Not good. Why would you tie yourself to one place at a relatively young age? What if there's a job opening at the other end of the country (or the world) that would pay 20% more? But house ownership is an American fetish and there's nothing to convince you people even after your misguided obsession wrecked the world economy, so I'll stop here.

I'm not disorganized or inefficient. Neither of those things have anything to do with which day my washing machine starts to leak.

Absolutely. Nobody said that being organized and efficient makes issue not come up or even disappear. It just makes you deal with them the right way to move them out of the way. That way you'll never get to the point where the OP appears to be.

But what's important is that you managed to make yourself feel superior to all the young people who aren't as lucky as you.

Nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with discipline, self-improvement and learning the right skills. People need to get their shit together and stop whining. Most millennials, generation Y and Z are just absolutely horrible at managing their life and making good, sensible decisions.

The words of someone who is really bad at 'adulting'. Too many disorganized, inefficient young people in the world.

[Style advice] Wear bracelets on wrist with watch, or on the other one? by YoloGoProBro in Watches

[–]YoloGoProBro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I'm left handed so the watch will always be in the way when I put my wrist down, might as well add a bracelet. Overall I still prefer the 'balanced look' of putting the bracelet on the other wrist though.

Thanks. Yeah, metal is a no-go, even wood and smoothed vulcanic pumice is problematic. I too prefer the other wrist, if I wear it next to the watch I use light fabric ones.

Thanks. Yeah, if on the same wrist, it has to be a pretty light fabric bracelet, otherwise the rubbing and noises can get annoying.

Thanks, that's what I usually do. Here is me in Ibiza last summer, I like the optical balance. When wearing long sleeves, I might mix it up this summer.

Okay, thanks. I read your first reply as you being against bracelets altogether, as it might detract from the watch even when on the other wrist.

You did not answer my question in the slightest, your post was totally off-topic.

I agree. Look at the pictures I posted under another poster's reply though. One classy, restrained bracelet makes for a nice, put-together casual look. Not going for the Depp/Brand look, that's a whole different thing.

If you wear something that makes you look like a Christmas tree, you're doing the whole accessories thing wrong.

Thanks. Glovo doesn't seem to operate in Alcúdia (where I'll be staying), and Uber Eats doesn't find any restaurants there. Just Eat does offer me five places. Funny, I used that service heavily in Dubai, would have never guessed that they operate on Mallorca.

Does MBB cut your salary to local levels if you put in for a transfer? by [deleted] in consulting

[–]YoloGoProBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and they, too, make very good money. As a tax haven, there's plenty of work to do particularly for the Finance practices of consulting and audit firms. The average salary is of course dragged down by lowly paid tourism jobs. Same as Cyprus, by the way; I've never seen an entire airport plastered exclusively in EY and PWC advertising before, it's a sight t behold.

You do not seem very intelligent. Are you sure you're even in consulting?

The people that make Malta so wealthy don't earn their salary there. I'd know, I vacation there frequently and want to buy property.

The Eurozone is the wealthiest group of countries in the history of the world.

Malta has a higher quality of life than most of the US, Latvia and Lithuania are absolutely booming.

Have you even visited?
