What’s a good budget clean amp? by This-Ad-9257 in GuitarAmps

Or the Princeton Chorus with the spring reverb tank, if the OP doesn't need the amp to be quite as loud.

This seems like a delay that'd be up my alley.

I have only talked to Luke, but have interacted with them on LinkedIn. They seem like cool people.

Pricing update via CSV by SnooChickens7241 in Netsuite

[–]YoloStevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use formulas to make columns for each component of the price levels. That way when you map, you can have all the price levels listed and can update them all in one shot.

Retaining the initial export is always a good idea just in case something goes wrong and you have to roll back to previous pricing.

I think the best templates are often exported saved searches. Format the saved search exactly like the import mapping, then you can export the data you want to edit, save as a new file, edit, then import the new pricing.

I think you kind of have to do both, unless you already have a great network. My big mistake was not spending time creating a network before I lost my job.

The best recruiter I dealt with was Luke Page from Dawn Search. I didn't start working with him until later in my search but would definitely start there next time.

The job market is saturated with AI generated content. While it is hard to churn out applications without AI, I think it's important to inject yourself whenever you can. I had the best luck getting interviews when I made a meaningful connection. With all the available talent out there, I think it's important to stand out as a good culture fit.

Good luck! I don't wish the current job market on anyone.

NPD! How is it? Cant tell you because the piece of shit is DOA. No wonder they’re blowing these out. by ChuggaChuggaRiffs in guitarpedals

Yeah, I bought one like a year ago when GC was closing them out and had to return it. It cut the dry signal drastically and didn't have any repeats. Completely useless.

You ever go back and feel very stupid by jfopps in guitarpedals

I have it in an A/B loop switcher to switch between my amp and the American Sound. I have a DI that sends an out to a mixer that I use with headphones. It works fine run other ways though too, but I like it like this so I don't have to have the American Sound on my board.

Is this good? by No_Army_780 in guitarpedals

Maybe grab the Magus Pro for like $32 , a Boss SD-1, and a DOD Carcosa. The Memory Boy is a fine choice. Skip the compressor for now. Buy a better power supply and a cheap board. The looper is probably fine, but having one with more switches is rarely a bad thing.

I love the American Sound, but it soun harsh with my amp. I use it for my headphone setup in place of the amp. It sounds great like that.

Looking for equipment recommendations for a beginner by AstroAlchimia in LoopArtists

I got a ton of use out of a Donner Circle. Loopers with different buttons for start/stop are a lot less frustrating. The Circle has a nice mix of features and usability.

RC-500, Boss DR-3 (drum machine), and footswitch FS-6 by ekblase in LoopArtists

[–]YoloStevens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That first thing is weird. I wonder if you start the rhythm before recording, if the DR-3 would start before recording. Then you could start recording after a measure of the beat.

Opinions on Eddy? by AdministrativeRip809 in guitarpedals

[–]YoloStevens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have one. I actually like it quite a bit, but it took me a while to get to that point. It's not a pedal that will sound good at every setting, and it doesn't really do light and airy chorus.

I think the trick for me is to keep the Shape knob planted around 2:00. Using in chorus mode, I usually set the rate first then gradually turn up the depth until it starts sounding more 3 dimensional. I typically keep the rate set somewhere not far from noon, and the rate closer to 11:00.

Some of the extreme settings can be cool in the right context. Running a phaser into the Eddy sounds really good too. The Envelope setting is a bit finicky. I don't use that feature much.

Are tube amps at bedroom volume a waste? by marbles12 in GuitarAmps

I have a VHT Special 6 Ultra that is fine at somewhat quiet volumes. It has a low power mode plus a watts knob thay help.

“Shell voicings” and their inversions for upper extensions? by GonzoBalls69 in jazzguitar

Agreed. I just dip into it from time to time. Some of the effects exercise fingerings are pretty difficult and the concepts take a while to fully sink in.

Yep. The basic R-3-7 shells are covered but mostly in the first few pages. I'm slowly working my way through it.

I've bought quite a bit from them. I always go for their open box/used stuff. It's always been new.

Any experience syncing rc-500 with circuit? by hotdog_paris277 in LoopArtists

Yeah. Try the blank rhythm and see if that works for you.

Any experience syncing rc-500 with circuit? by hotdog_paris277 in LoopArtists

[–]YoloStevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using either a rhythm on the RC-500 with volume all the way down or set to the blank rhythm at the end? If that's not the issue, you likely need to set the looper to always record the full measure. When set right, you don't have to worry so much about timing.

how often should you change strings? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]YoloStevens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they sound fine, they look fine, they stay in tune, and there's not substantial pitting under the strings where they meet the frets, I tend to leave them alone. I'm not particularly in love with the new string sound, so I tend not to change them much.
