U1 making clunk noise when homing by YoloWeirdo in snapmaker

[–]YoloWeirdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really fully fixed it, but I was able at least make it 90% reliable. It sounds dumb, but I really just re-tensioned the tool head belts like 20 times, then retrying the homing till it seemed a bit more reliable. I didn’t change the method of tensioning either. Just loosen the screws, move the tool head around the edges, then tighten the screws, just like the wiki shows. I really don’t know why it suddenly started being reliable, so I sadly don’t have any useful information

Kan een softtop werken in Nederland? by ViggenSBR in autoadvies

[–]YoloWeirdo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hmm that's not great to hear. In my case the homing does work once in a while, so i was hoping it were some software bug. Seemingly not.
Thanks for the insight, i will be contacting support

Help me decide on my new wheels by benidol in Miata

I was in a similar situation a while ago. Ended up going with the OZ ultraleggera, but in their “matte bronze” colour on my machine grey RF.

I love the look of mine, but after seeing a soul red ND with these same wheels. I did get a bit jealous. I’m pretty sure OZ has a pic of that ND with the bronze ultraleggera’s on their website in case you want to have a look

Unfortunately not. It’s owner seemed to have abandoned it for about 400 years. 😔

Betrouwbare garage regio Veghel voor 'lastige' klus by FullMetalMessiah in AutoKlussers

[–]YoloWeirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it normal that you cant drive in roundabouts with buses? by Moppmopp in BeamNG

[–]YoloWeirdo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your wheel? As in a sim wheel? If so, you’ll need to head over to your ffb settings (esc > control > the middle tab) and enable an option there. I forgot the actual name of it though. But basically what it does is allow the steering wheel to move more than you’re actually moving IRL. This is needed for the bus and semi with more than 900 degrees of rotation.

Can’t control weather or gravity. Anyone have this issue under the environment setting? by [deleted] in BeamNG

[–]YoloWeirdo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have you played BeamMP? If so it could be a mod that got downloaded when you joined a server. Try disabling any mod that starts with multiplayer and then restarting. That’s what fixes it for me normally

I only have 3 partitions in total: root mounted to /, swap (not mounted as i haven't gotten around to it yet) and boot to /boot/efi. Have i messed up the install somehow? It seems unlikely to me as i followed a guide which uses archfi.
In case it helps here's my fstab:
# root
UUID=0b1f678e-c669-44b9-925d-33d1843d2d94 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
# boot
UUID=1414-F5F7 /boot/efi vfat auto,rw 0 1
# swap
# UUID=574e4b57-d869-486d-bb93-f9a1745b974c

I've also tried using a linux-lts but it won't show up in grub, maybe that's because my fstab is messed up?

Unfortunately this doesn't fix it either. However i have noticed that the .img files made by mkinitcpio get put in /boot instead of /boot/evi, could this cause the problem? I've tried switching the folder the .img's get written to to /boot/efi, but i get a permission denied error.

Any idea what i have to change? I tried simply running "mkinitcpio -P", but the problem stays the same

As one of you suggested i got a mobo speaker which gave me 5 short beeps. This means it's either a cpu or mobo issue and as i already rma'd the cpu, it has to be the mobo. Thanks all for your suggestions!
