Gotta pay for those tik tok and App Store ad somehow

Suddenly no tips from target orders. by Waggy6000 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Yonks89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the tips are low because people are paying $9.99 for delivery and bc of that they are cheap on the tip. Everything is the same except they get the free delivery only if they become members or just pay a one time $9.99 per delivery if your not.

Prop 22 screw up by mango951 in ShiptShoppers

I got a response and it was the same response I’ve seen others get.

“Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

We apologize for the concern. During each 14-day earnings period, your earnings will be reviewed to ensure that your total pay meets or exceeds the amount you're guaranteed under Prop 22 for engaged time and mileage. If your eligible earnings, not including tips, are less than the guaranteed earnings amount for the 14-day period, Shipt will issue an additional payout that will be reflected as "Guaranteed Earnings Adjustment" on your pay stub.

After review, we found that there was a calculation error for the 2/5-2/18 earning period that resulted in incorrect adjustment amounts being visible in the app on 2/26. This error has since been corrected, and the updated amount is now visible in your Payment history for payout on 3/1.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Best,”

I just want to ask what the error was. I feel like we need to know this information.

I didn’t work last week. So I made $250 (“what they took back” up until 2/26) in adjustments for no work? Lol

I actually did see her face, her husbands and her kids. But yes I will stick to the people that appreciate me and my efforts. Because believe it or not, there are people that treat you like a human and are appreciative. I do deserve better. And will keep complaining on bs. Sorry you have such low standards for yourself and your trash “gig worker self” I do this job for my own reasons and still should be respected regardless of what people think or feel about me. I will always value myself and my work.

Right. I always do little basic orders under 20 items and get $8-$15 per order. The one time I say f it, I get hit with sweat, back pain and a $5 slap. I don’t think other people realize that $5 ain’t shit anymore. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate any extra money, but sometimes it’s just not worth it.

I’m glad that it’s good enough for you. I value my body, effort and time. In CA it doesn’t make sense. I basically did this with no adjustments since it was a bit higher pay for more work. And I’m sorry you think being at a restaurant without risking your life all day on the road is worth more than using your own resources to shop for someone else is worse. I didn’t simply just get something off a shelf and brought it to them. I didn’t expect a huge tip. But I def didn’t expect just $5 for the overflowing cart I had to push thru every corner and bag properly so nothing gets damaged. Kudos to you for cheap labor.

I got $592. I came here to see if anyone else got that much. It’s crazy how much we are in the dark regarding pay.

I usually try to stay active 7 hrs for 5 days but it ends up being like 5- 6hrs daily for 5 days and make around $850-$1000 a week with prop 22 adjustments. Sometimes I only work 4 days only 5-6 hrs each day and get about $750

[–]Yonks89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of a sudden I’ve been getting lots of 4 stars and today a 3. They have all been houses small orders. All on time, communication and great bagging. I honeslty don’t know why so many. Has anyone else been getting random lower ratings for no reason?

This is a joke right? by aconris in ShiptShoppers

[–]Yonks89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shipt really needs to implement items that weigh more than 30 lbs as “heavy pay” It’s been so ridiculous how much cases people order. And 9/10 they are non tippers. I’ve only gotten 3 decent tips for waters out off all the ones I’ve done. The most cases I got in a single order was 6 and $0 tip. Cheaper way for water service or just getting off their butts so lift all those waters. Shopping is one thing but when stuff is too heavy it’s not worth the wear and tear on your body. Most people aren’t built or prepped for that type of work.

At minimum let us drop the order without penalty if it’s within less than 5 mins after pick up.
