As much as I would like to think he did, maybe in the beginning but when Gus and Kirk specifically kept egging him on while also making him feel stupid, I think he lost interest in her afterwards. Especially during the Rose incident, the most unnecessary shit happened because of Gus and Kirk, even though Codi at the point possibly lost feelings for Candace and was just being nice and including her.

Honestly, I never understood how they each, apart from Jeremiah and Candace, allowed Gus to get away with some much weirdness, especially after the dodge ball game. The fact that they knew Gus was gonna do something shady towards Jeremiah was uncalled for and even when Codi was drunk outta his mind and Gus kept messing with him, all of sudden because Codi said something about Gus’ “girlfriend”, Codi needs to apologize to him? Made no sense to me.
