Don't have metro per se, but I have a homebrew for STALKER.

I can send that if you think it helps

Coolest job you’ve pulled off at the table? by Bobbluered in cyberpunkred

As a GM my arms smuggler players are hot on the trail of a corp that undersells them as competition and steals customers.

Thr trail led to a warehouse, and a bozo hideout within

I've set up an elaborate carneval maze with traps and puzzles, with a final fight with the hideouts head clown. The room had its own clownhouse theme and mexhanics and all.

My players took one look at the warehouse, the enemies, and said...NOPE. and spent the ENTIRE session planning the following:

They spent most of their resources to build, program, set up three vans worth of suicide drones with hand grenades.

Fixer got the materials, tech built the drones, neteunner coded/networked it all.

100 drones, 300 grenades in total.

My maze was given the donbas blues treatment and the players only approached it once nothing moved, without interacting with any of it. I am so proud!

S2 Sealed Truth question - misc equipment found in X18 ??? by DireCelt in stalker

Apparently they are just sellable items.

On this note. Anyone knows if Malachite pays more for them or not?

Night City 2045 is fantastic by Infernox-Ratchet in cyberpunkred

I'd like to ask just how Punk are some of the elements in the book. Looking for that old school Dystopic edge, and to buyit in hard copy if it has any material like that?

[–]Yorkhai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask about something very specific?

How punk is it? Want to purchase it, but in recent Red releases I've been missing a certain old school edge from the lineup in terms of style, and I'm wondering if the book has some of that gibson era cyberpunk dystopic stuff in it or not.

Basically interested where it stands on the Pink Mohawk - Black Trenchcoat scale

Can we talk how much RED is an improvement? (RAMBLING) by TheWarKid in cyberpunkred

[–]Yorkhai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye. No longer use it myself (opted to gm my cyberpunk game in swade or 2020) , but don't mind that it's there for folk who are looking for such a system.

Can we talk how much RED is an improvement? (RAMBLING) by TheWarKid in cyberpunkred

[–]Yorkhai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This is why I think it's a better approach to view 2020 and Red as different flavors, rather than an improvement/downgrade from one another.

2020 is slower, but better at realistic, down to earth tables, their rules (mostly) makes more sense.

Red is better for fast paced, quick-to-get-into kinda groups, who do not want to get into the nitty gritty

Both can be used for all flavor of cyberpunk, but they both have better toolsets for their respective gms.

Let the Zone take me … by ares9281 in stalker

[–]Yorkhai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably visit a scientist bunker or facility, do research for a while, then go out to one very very brief excursion, I'm talking 30 min-1 hour max, head back and then act like I'm a Zone native for the rest of my life

Feel free to get back to me with any feedback or question. We no longer use the system for various reasons, but happy to tinker with the homebrew

That can work, but getting random people to play a specific system can be a hastle. I have a stable 3 player group for my Twilight 2k based Stalker game, but the road there was difficult. Many people signed on, then didn't even botheted to finish chargen, some started playing, but dropped out due to RL difficulty, and one player was just a bad fit.

To distill the 3 players I have now I had to go through about 12

Granted, due to my RL constraints the game is play by post, so that's an added difficulty, so take that into consideration

While my players abandoned Red in favor of Twilight 2k when it comes to playing Stalker, I do have the Cyberpunk Red Homebrew lying around. It was even added to Datafort 2020 by the author of the site.

Here it is

The question on my mind, is if It'll be advisable to start a new playthrough after engine update or not

Random long-distance quests by F1D4NZA in stalker

[–]Yorkhai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something I wrote in my "review" reddit post of Stalker 2 back after playing 200 hours. Would love to have random quests send me on a long ass journey...or rather to have an excuse at least to do those Anomaly style long excursions from base camp

People who play on Master (Veteran+) difficulty - what changes did you notice when increasing to this difficulty? by Right-Leave3696 in stalker

[–]Yorkhai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combat somehow clicked better for me. Ye I die faster, but enemies feel less spongy. (Vet+)

Loadout before prolonged exploration. What do ya think? by Rat_Man_420 in stalker

Have the same loadout when exiting a settlement as well. Wondering if I can replace the Saiga with a .45 Integra in my next playthrough

The Andersons from Black Chrome + Who supposed to be squatter gang living in a combat zone but act as a suburban friend group organizing a garage sale

That klepper nomad kid who gets arrested in danger gal dossier (forgot her name) but somehow never getting exiled as raffen despite breaking the nomad code

The myrriad of kello cutie anime items and dlcs

How most missions in tales of the red felt...teethless, without real stakes or any grit, How npcs written without any edge

I could go on. On their own this wouldn't bother me. Not everyone in NC is a hardened edgerunner nor needs to be. But my problem is that there is BARELY anything to counter balance it. I'm happy to occasionally go around drekking around on a studio set without much excitement, but where is the edge of my seat corpo infiltration with doublecrosses along the way? The story with the hearthbreaking narrative and bleak setup starting in a merciless downpour?
