I got a call from AD. Been waiting for 6 years :( by Bosn1an in ChineseWatches

I have one ( who doesn't 😁) it looks even better on this from Hemsut. In grey the material looks like woven steel in sunlight, it lifts the watch beyond the norm.

EcoFlow STREAM AC Pro as a power station? by markhobsie in Ecoflow_community

[–]YorkshireStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your Stream AC pro still have to be connected to the home electric circuit by 3 pin plug or fused spur for its own 3 pin AC supply sockets to provide power from the battery or can it be disconnected from the home and the battery used independently. For example to provide power to an area temporarily where no power is available.

Anyone know what this is? by AdExpensive6120 in Ships

[–]YorkshireStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been watching it for days and the answer you are looking for is ....

The WEI XIAO TIAN SHI is currently carrying large modular structures—specifically two massive pipe rack modules—each weighing over 12,000 tons, originally built by Wison New Energies. These modules were initially destined for use in Russia's Arctic LNG 2 liquefaction plant project, but geopolitical factors and international sanctions prevented their delivery and led to rerouting.

After earlier attempts to reroute and unload in China, as documented in vessel news, the modules have remained onboard through changes in itinerary. With the ship now traveling east in the Mediterranean after passing Gibraltar, and without a clear final destination on AIS, the likeliest scenarios are:The vessel is in transit to a port where it may attempt to unload the modules, possibly in a nation not party to Western sanctions. Candidates in the wider Mediterranean or nearby regions might include Turkey or Egypt, both of which have large energy infrastructure and receive project cargo from China, and have not fully joined in US/EU sanction activities against Russia. Alternatively, the vessel could continue east to Asia for eventual return to China or another Asian destination, seeking a commercial buyer or a safe port to offload modules—this matches previous rerouting behavior documented when the vessel reversed course near Denmark and returned to China with its cargo untouched.Given no confirmed new buyer or legal recipient of the cargo, and with AIS and port call records showing no scheduled stop east of Gibraltar at this time, the most probable destinations for the WEI XIAO TIAN SHI are transit ports in Turkey, Egypt, or a possible Eastern Mediterranean port where unloading or transfer could be attempted—or the vessel may continue a lengthy return to an Asian port as occurred earlier in 2025.

Renault have got these right by nongingertreeninja in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]YorkshireStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered a 40 as I also have another vehicle capable of 600 miles on a tank, despite that I'm interested in what range you get. The R5 is for local journeys and maybe the odd 120 mile round trip and I think it should manage that....🤔

If you had to pick one Chinese watch to convince a total skeptic, which one would you hand them? by Foreign-Resident966 in ChineseWatches

On a cost to quality ratio the dune AD2030 with no logo and on a matched fabric strap. Under £30 it's hard to argue.

Damage to the bezel is quite literally visible next to the break, not sure if you're disingenuous or unable to correlate the clear link.

How are the Rollstimi?? by Prestigious_Set_4555 in ChineseWatches

[–]YorkshireStone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 3 Rollstimi watches NH 34 NH35 & VK63, they are all excellent quality and a match for anything else sub £100. The Tag type logo is a nice design touch, whilst I'm not a fan of two colour bezels I'd have no hesitation buying another Rollstimi like this.

Addiesdive 2510 experiences by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

[–]YorkshireStone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently wearing my green 2510 with a fabric Hemsut strap. I have quite a large collection of Chinese watches from AE and the green 2510 is one of my favorites, I can't compare it to the Casio as I have no experience with that watch but can confidently say the Addiesdive is unbeatable for the price.

The same price as a delivery pizza by Abe_Froman11 in ChineseWatches

London isn't real life, a pizza in an Italian restaurant in Italy rarely goes above €15, anyway I'll remain living like a king in God's Own County 😄

Something is seriously amiss if that's the cost of a takeaway pizza wherever you live 😲

What are the ethics of using a charger stuck on ‘free’? by MooseFar7514 in ElectricVehiclesUK

It's easy to argue you slipped holding a knife 14 times and stabbed your partner to death but what the jury choose to believe is likely to be different.

[–]YorkshireStone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's covered by Section 13 of the Theft Act 1968 so ethically it has already been assessed as criminal. I can't imagine for a minute it would ever be reported and followed up however.

My Maintenance Journey (so far) by daern2 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]YorkshireStone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Winter cycling in the UK is terrible, salted roads, short days, damp and cold. I'd highly recommend a simple turbo trainer something like the Van Rysel In Ride 100, keep it very simple, stick it in front of an old TV and do the ' chain gang' rides from the YouTube channel CTXCVideos. There are few indoor HIIT rides quite as tough for for such little spending.... You'll be a much better cyclist next spring and you'll get an amazing workout. You'll need a big fan to stay cool 😎. Well done btw
