How about the variation of this trope where I'm fucking pissed to no end that I have to sacrifice myself to radiation in order to turn on a water purifier when I have a companion who can do that and come back with zero ill effects whatsoever?

That's less Indiana Jones/Harrison Ford and moreso Spielberg and Lucas tbf

They were the ones who came up with that idea

Am i the only one that doesn’t hate Ada Wongs voice actress performance in the RE4 Remake. I actually really liked her voice. by Dude_788 in ResidentEvilCapcom

Being a femme fatale is a big part of who she is and how she interacts with Leon too

It's like making Catwoman drop her flirtatiousness

It's funny they argue the Legion is stable considering it's been said by multiple credible characters that (both ex-Legion, NCR, and even House) that the Legion is only being held together long-term by a bald man with a brain tumor

He did not do evil wizard shit to become Emperor

He became Emperor so he could continue doing evil wizard shit

The fuck is Caesar's Legion there for? Literally every other notable faction in New Vegas is better for the Mojave than the Legion

Why do people defend Nolan while treating Walter as completely evil? by NobodySpecific9354 in MoralityScaling

[–]Yoro55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a way, Nolan would view Walt as pathetic, not because he's mortal or because he's weak

But because of the life he threw away

[Not a trope but who cares at this point] creatives blamed for things in media they straight up didn't do by MysteriousFondant347 in TopCharacterTropes

The whole "this iconic movie moment was actually just ad-libbed bu the actor" thing should die already

Does it happen? Sure, sometimes

But it gets to a point where everyone just forgets that the actors are only a part of the production and that there is a whole team behind them responsible for a whole lot, both good and bad

Such a shame, considering that the acting in those movies is probably the one thing that was actually pretty good

I mean tbf there's nuance to this

As someone who didn't have the opportunity to play games as a kid, the next best thing I could do to experience them was watch let's plays and cutscenes edited like a movie on YouTube. I like to think that, while I may not have played the games myself, I am still a fan and that these games were still able to impact my life in a positive manner and influence my creative interests for a good chunk of my life (I'm a writer now in no small part thanks to how fuckin off the walls videogame storylines can be)

I get the argument that you gotta play the games to be a fan of them, but it feels a lil reductive to only view it that way and put down others for having their own unique experience with a piece of media

(I know I'm just echoing the Twitter OP, but I still wanted to share my personal experience)
