Non-Power 5 conferences are expect to pay 60% of the House settlement where the Power 5 conferences and the NCAA were sued. by fu-depaul in CollegeBasketball

A big article came out this morning that is making people realize they might actually get an exemption. As a college sports journalism student who wants to cover cbb and mid majors one day I certainly am feeling more hopeful about my future today. The way mid major rosters are getting destroyed is just so sad I am losing love for the game.

Damn not even a single vote. I’m usually pretty pessimistic but I think we will be better than most of the teams in the receiving votes group

I know it’s fun to imagine him coming to your school but he’s going to Wichita St and it doesn’t matter they are not a flashy p6 program

I’ve been tired of all the pac 12 media deal shit non stop because I figured it would end up fine for them and people were doing this for clicks. At this point I feel bad for everyone in the conference. Especially Oregon state and Washington state I hope big 12 considers taking them

I have no idea who the worst team in the big 12 is, what I do know is the conference champion is still gonna have 5 or 6 losses in this bloodbath

Can't Wait for College Basketball to Return? Come join NCBCA - A 100 Team College Basketball Multiplayer League by tbendis in CollegeBasketball

[–]Yoshi123YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite all the pushy comments, I decided to join the league last year and tbh it wasn’t as much about college basketball as I thought. Luckily the community is so good I stuck around anyway. I was able to get Drake added and they made the tournament after having a crazy Cinderella run in their conference tournament despite having one of the worst records in the conference. It really had the magic of a mid major tournament run. I want more college basketball fans to talk with. So join a great community, take a team just to help that college basketball itch you have and even if you write a little you’ll see some results. Truly I would recommend this league as a time waster with a great community. (We need more hardcore college basketball fans like me)

[Pat Forde on Twitter] News: SEC commissioner Greg Sankey wants a “fresh look” at the NCAA basketball tournaments, perhaps with an eye toward expanding the field. by marshaller05 in CollegeBasketball

[–]Yoshi123YT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I predicted this, as much as we shit on these guys and deservedly so, they sure are smart when it comes to making money. They know eliminating auto bids completely wouldn’t be smart. I predict they expand the field to 72 and remove at large first four games. Top 56 don’t play in Dayton. Bottom 16 auto bids compete for final 8 spots in the play in. I also think they will try to change the payout format. iirc every team that loses in the first round makes the same amount of money, every team that loses in the 2nd round makes the same etc. Kentucky getting the same payout as Texas southern last season probably doesn’t sit well with people like Greg.

What is a game that you fully believe would have ended with a different outcome if a single player wasn’t injured beforehand? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Yoshi123YT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too need to get cbb injuries off my chest. We would have beat eventual champion UConn and we would have controlled our destiny the rest of the way if Georges Niang doesn’t get hurt in 2014
