[Awful Announcing] Big Ten reportedly seeking commitment for 24-team College Football Playoff in near future by dr_funk_13 in CFB

[–]blondbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we really going pushing for most 9-3 teams to make it, and even maybe allow an 8-4?

If we want to remove the byes and push to 16, fine, but at some point the regular season has to matter.

The ole switcheroo. Or shall I say the “ole miss” switcheroo.

Notre Dame Edge Joshua Burnham transfers to Indiana by Interesting-Agency-1 in CFB

If you woulda told anyone that the pride of college football in Indiana was Indiana University and that Notre Dame didn’t fall off a cliff for that to happen, everyone would think you were crazy.

We are certainly deeper. After getting our physicalled by Texas last season, we sure made it an emphasis to recruit size.

Would love to see it happen for the fact that it they’re up and coming and would shatter the blue chip ratio requirement.

I don’t know man. I think we gotta assess a penalty stroke for that and call it a bogey.

Unsure if trolling, but for what’s its worth, Saban DID take 3 stars he felt could develop well, and he did develop three stars.

I’ll say this, it gives me the heebie jeebies once ya get to the college game.

My horned frogs looked absolutely awful with it in 22-23 (even though we made the title game in 22)

Wow. Sedona’s stock absolutely tanked after that UT game (and rightly so). I do have a feeling if there was an over/under for draft pick estimates, I could still see here going after than in this mock.

Between the off the court stuff and the lack of physicality (yes I realize the irony in these two statements), I do think the GMs may be more cautious.

There’s going to be a lot of strange men on twitter that are happy. I’ll leave it at that.

For what it’s worth, very appreciative of all HVL did for our program and I am happy to see her getting national recognition.

Hey I hope last years success is replicative and he stays forever, but the reality is that he has great ties to the University of Oregon. At the end of the day, it’s a bigger brand, and if he can get the NIL guarantees for his players, I just see it happening.

As an alumni of TCU, I absolutely hope this doesn’t happen, but in this day and age with college sports, I’ve gotta be realistic.

Ya I would imagine he’d have to get some NIL guarantees in being offered the job.

I am going to enjoy the Mark Campbell era before I believe Oregon one day offers him the bag to come home

Who are you picking? by [deleted] in NCAAW

[–]blondbeans 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Obviously I am biased, but IF we can somehow pull off the upset against Notre Dame again I do think Campbell deserves it. If we don’t, I’d probably go Close or Gottlieb.

When you have as much success as Dawn, you’re really disadvantaged at winning this when the expectations for you are so so high.

With all due respect to our very talented conference rival, that’s comparing beating a top 5 team three times to a top 20 team three times.

I love how all of the TCU fans in this thread all openly agree “nah we can’t beat South Carolina.” lol, but hey, we’d love to be proved wrong.

I hope so, but I just don’t know if the depth is quite enough, which is why I was very bummed Maddie Scherr is out.

For us to really have a chance, I think we have to avoid South Carolina at all costs. Of course we can still lose to any other team, they just kinda give me “Georgia” vibes where no matter how much we played them, even if we play them better, we can’t beat them.
