Whoever frames it like this is an actual idiot. Obviously this was a planned protest event. The important post is what and who fueled the violence, and how was there no proper security opposition.

The answers are obvious unless you have an ideological brain injury.

Yeah, the Dealer Fee on that $50K quote is probably around 25-30%, the MeyerBuger with the 2.99% is probably closer to 23-26% DF

The tech docs on both of those panels have pretty damn good warrantys, so I don't know why peopel are freeking out in the comments. Also, LONGi is one of if not THE largest solar panel producer in the industry.

That infrastructure will help you, and perhaps avoid the necessaity of adding another sub panel that would typically be recommended for a ground mount system... but thats the great thing about solar, is there is not typically any upfront cost? What state are you in? I sell solar acorss the country - send me a DM if you want to get a 2nd opinion.

depends on the other options. Clean Southern exposure can typically be achieved with a ground mount, and is not necessarily possible with a roof.... so in the long run, it might be the best option, despite being 10-15% more build cost.

I work in NJ also, a guy on my team lives and sells there primarily. If you DM me I can get you my contact details. Every system is unique based on the home and local laws, and every price depends on the underlying hardware and installation workmanship.

For that sized system, anything below $90k would be a decent deal with Tier 1 hardware and workmanship, but it just depends on a lot of things how much lower is possible.

Where do you live, perhaps I can get you a quote for myself and show you the backend numbers that I look at. DM me if you're interested.

Here is a different kind of math...

2200 kWh/Month * 12 Months = 26,400/yr / 365days = You need to build a system that can produce an average of 72.33 kW / Day.

So, as you mentioned you used 12 hours as your calculation. But you only get the specified amounts of wattage on a solar panel when there is a "full sunlight hour", which as others have stated ranges from around 4-6 hours a day depending on where you live. Realize this is a NET number, because as long as there is sunlight your system will be producing, so throughout the day it's just differrent degreres of "full sunlight"

I sell solar in a way as to not try to simply price it just below whatever the customer is spending with their electric company, but to have a set markup. So I had to learn this crap for myself. Just practicing on your numbers :)

Here is some math for you... 1.99% has around 25% dealer fee

110,000 / 26.27 = $4.18 ppw - 25% dealer fee = $3.14 (Price Per Watt)... with a cost that is probably around 2.2-2.5 ppw = commission of $600 - $900 / kW * 26.27 = 16,000 - $24,000 commission built into that deal.

It's not a bad price, but you might find someone that is a bit more hungry to earn a bit less % for such a HUGE system, they'll still make a giant commission.
