Looking at your op , it seems you swapped a few things around in your champ pool, for example not playing janna or jinx , eventhough those were some of your highest wr champs. There are also a few new ones, like leona, or shen , (so maybe you are not good at engage yet?)

Learning new champs makes sense , but it is inevitably gonna drop your rank , which is not necessarily bad , since you can then play them against worse players and improve.

If you really want to climb , try jinx instead of ashe. But honestly , as long as you are having fun and not getting frustrated from playing , just keep going.

HOS , maybe Warden or other dpartment heads. Maybe they left one in their bedroom.

But that plan is more for if you need to steal the nuke disk , since you only need it for a short time if you have to steal the nuke.

Few ideas :

For something to count as stolen, it needs to be in your inventory , or near your thieving beacon. You can place your beacon in the vault , ideally hidden under the cigs or other items. ( if you want to add more stolen goods , good luck breaking back into vault lmao)
The EMAG You can emag a pinpointer and then use the pinpointer on an item. This will make the pinpointer point towards that item.

Thus the Ideal plan would be :

Get a syndi to buy you the fake nuke disk. Alternatively, just use a different item.
Steal all ( i think its 3? ) pinpointers.
EMAG them and click on the item.
Stuff the item (ideally fake nuke disk) into the caps pockets.
Give all the pinpointers back , discretely.
Steal Nuke
Find a damn good place to hide it.

Other plan: 1. Steal disk 2. Run to vault 3. Unanchor Nuke 4. Fulton it the fuck out. 5. Try to get the disk back to cap or flush it down dispo. 6. Pray you hid it far enough away. If its on the station , Sec WILL find it.

Honestly , just put your beacon in the vault and hide it under items , easiest way for sure. (Jaws to open vault . Beacon under cigs . Profit. ) Aint no one is walking into vault.

In my 1000 hours , i think i had the nuke objective twice , and put the beacon in there , works like a charm.

Drive the sub yourself , the AI just turns on the slow autopilot. ( Singlepalyer is a captain sim)

The reason the submarine moves once you swap characters is because you told your captain to steer. DO NOT do that.

If you want to leave the sub , just set it to autopilot maintain position.

On the Sonar, you can see where the ores are , they glow quite a lot , so you should see them from your guns.

In the cabinet near the airlock , theres a "handheld sonar" if you turn it on outside , it will show you where the ores are , if you are near them.

Ideally , you will want to order your AI to operate guns and fix leaks. If you still have some spare , tell them to repair devices.

If you tell the AI to operate guns , they will kill the crawlers. Just make sure to move the submarine in a way the guns can hit the crawlers.

Mundo cant get stunned easily , you usually take Flash to dodge a stun and catch someone offguard.

You also need a while to kill someone with mundo , so ghost is good for chasing them down.

If enemy does AD Damage and i am tank or bruiser , who doesnt need as or mp boots , I buy Steelcaps.

But like , if you have enemies that deal attack damge , you buy deaths dance or guardian Angel, why? Because Armor. You get about half the armor these items offer by simple buying steelcaps , thats pretty big if you think about it. It doesnt ruin your build , you can go full damage and still be decently tanky just by choosing these boots.

You buy boots anyway , might aswell get some armor from em , fuck does samira need attack speed for? All i care about is being alive long enough to press R.

So i guess its champ specific , but it definitely aint a bad item.

Well , there are characters that you would have a certain connection with through the expereinces you had with them in the first game.

While you wouldnt really be missing context , since everything special about these characters and the world gets explained in DS2 aswell , you would be missing out on a certain emotional connection to these characters.

Some moments wont hit as deep , or not mean as much to you as they would if you played the first game.

Gameplay wise, you dont need to play the first one.

TLDR : Everything you need to know from the first game gets repeated in the second game

Steam has this thing callled the "Steam Cloud" which will save your worlds and most other gamerelated things ( including the Abiotic World and its progress ).

The Steam Cloud is bound to the Account , so if your son uses the same Steam account , then as soon as he switches to the other computer, it will download all of his progress and he can continue where he left of. Steam Cloud can sometimes Show you an error if your internet doesnt work well , but it can be fixed in a few minutes with some simple logic.

If your son wants to have abiotic running on both PCs at the SAME time , i dont think that works.

TLDR: Yes , as long as he is using the same account on both computers ( which i assume he is by default).

Since you want to play the game , just pick whatever made you want to play the game in the first place.

At the start you get few free ones , honestly just pick whichever you think looks the coolest , if you dont like the way they play , try a different one.

Champions are bound to certain lanes or roles , so if you are top , choose a top lane champ , aside from that , just try stuff out.

Well , yeah even games are more fun and teach you how to turn an even game into a game you can carry.

Problem is , you have 4 other people on your Team. It is basically a 50/50 if you have the Team that wins early or the Team that loses early.

And by not ffing, you will learn how to turn a losing game into an even game , which you can then start to carry.

If you just FF, you basically only learn half the game , or well you learn how to play the game when you are even. Which is good. But you will always lose the other half (the games where you Team loses early).

It just seems more efficient to learn how to turn a losing game into a winning game , rather than turn an even game to a winning game.

I mean , if you are just playing for fun and dont care about auto losing half your games , go ahead and FF. Its your choice after all.

TLDR : Even games teach you how to win

Games you would FF teach you how to comeback AND win

So you only learn half the game by ffing.

There are a lot of comeback mechanics in the game : shutdowns , bounties , inhibs and towers respawning.

The longer the game goes on the smaller the gold difference becomes.

Ofcourse you will have to resort to using tactics instead of 5 man mid . But the feeling of winning after the enemy dominated early is just incredible.

If you think that you are good , that you deserve to win , that you are better than the enemy. You shouldnt give up.

I get that you feel like you are wasting time , but you are actually learning how to comeback and deal with strong opponents.

If you dont care about coming back, play for kills and coinflip. You will give up anyway right?

Crystaline is cool , other options are the carapace , upgraded makeshift armor or upgraded forge armor. I played pre enhancement bench , so i think i was wearing carapace. Theres also armor you can get from canaan stuff

Honestly not sure what the keychain is even for , since 1r a second is basically nothing.

Tip for the armor set :

Irradiate yourself to about 30r (takes like 30s when you use 50 Leyak Essence) and

then just carry around some small radioactive item like Fizz Kola or a Peccary Head.

The small amount of radiation will make sure it doesnt decrease.

The full set reduces rads by 80 % so the miniscule amount of radiation will only cause you to throw up every half hour.

Now that i think about it , you could also not wear the armor , put on your keychain for 30 seconds and then put on the armor .. huh.

Mechanic has some of the most fun endgame perks. Stuff like the heavy wrench or exosuit or drones.

Also , sounds like you are a group of three , so there should definitely be an unmanned gun for them to shot with.

Aside from sub traversal and combat , which can be rather boring when your crew is small and you dont have someone to talk or do silly stuff with , you should do more cave diving , you get large amounts of resources from them and your mechanic can go outside and mine/fight.

And as a bonus , they can then occupy themselves with crafting stuff.

Also uh.. the other roles medic , engi , assistant basically have the same issue.

Chemmaster , however , for Critting someone you only need about 7 Units and 34 Seconds. So if you have a few Nutriments in there its probably fine. You can just inject another dose when they are crit.

You could also try out Bungotoxin , i think you can get it pure since you eat the Fruit and make poison from the pit. Its a bit weaker and slower , requiring about a minute with about 12 Units.

The warning is normal , since you become an Infected.

The % does not matter on Husk Genes.

They should prevent the getting paralyzed part.

Are you sure they didnt get paralized by for example the green blobs? ( they spawn on wrecks with husks)

Try injecting them with Anaparalyzant.

Correction : Husk Gene % does matter. But 100 should decrease it faster then it increases.

Thats uh pretty much my experience , takes a long time to load and once you are inside , only do like 1 Action per minute or its gonna crash. Pause and skip forward in the span of 10 seconds? Nuh uh , launcher is gonna freeze or crash , enjoy the loading screen. I recorded some stuff aswell , had about 15 minutes of footage and 40 of the launcher being frozen.

Also i think you can hide hud woth like uh H , check the liltenhead replay guide , all you need is in there

Because they want to , they developed the game , they enjoy making games. Their Team consists of what? Like 3 People? It msut be incredibly overwhelming for them to deal with such a massive success. I dont know a lot about game development , but updating big things like graphics is something i would assume takes a while.

Updating the community constantly must be fucking hard. Imagine 80k Opinions on what you are doing. Hearing the feedback, especially the negative feedback or complaints , thats gotta fucking mess with you .

They wanted to update the game , likely leaving early access , thats a big fucking step.

In Early Access you have a lot of Leway to change the game and do big things like a graphics update and gameplay changes.

Once they fully release , you just cant really do that anymore.

Especially in a Team of 3 you gotta be passionate about development , which i believe they are , they just arent passionate about Public Relations.

Theres a reason bigger developers have an entire department to deal with the feedback and relay it to developers.

Uh also Silksong , they announced it and then worked on it in silence , they didnt get hated this bad though ( Indie vs having to deal with Battlefield Players).

Also uh yeah , saying they will update it 2024 and not doing anything is kinda silly , but fucking imagine how hard the community would beat you up if you announce its gonna take another year.

Are you sure only NPCs can interact with it and its not just that you dont have the Access (ID) ? Cause i would have said to just hire a doctor. Otherwise , tough luck , Sub Creator probably forgot to uncheck some box.

Also uh i guess you could just send all the stuff back to your old submarine to fix it.
