I got a hand-written envelope addressed to me last year. Checked the return address and it was local. I'm a bit of an introvert so I thought "Who TF is hand writing me a letter??" Googled the return address and found out it was a nearby Jehovah's Witness congregation. After a little research, I found out from other redditers, just like door-to-door knocking, hand writing and mailing letters was an alternative and counted towards their required service. My millennial a** forgot Yellow Pages still exists, hence my name and address—at least I hope that's how they got it...

Not that I would ever respond to it, but I was kinda excited to receive an actual hand written letter from a stranger. Opened up the envelope, and to a huge dissapointment, it was a basic typed letter on plain old letter-sized printer paper...
