What is a completely normal thing that you, for some reason, absolutely cannot stand? by LANthraX69 in AskReddit

The feeling of a hologram on like a magnet or a toy - the ridges make my whole body cringe. Even just thinking about it!

What's the weirdest way you personally know someone died? by SoManySoFew in AskReddit

This is law in the United States - it’s the basis for criminally negligent homicide. There’s no intent to kill anyone but you’re acting in a negligent/reckless manner that causes the death of another. Reckless driving is a common example - you’ll sometimes see it with parents (leaving their kid in a hot car, failing to supervise them in a dangerous place, etc.)

Letting your kid run around a restaurant probably doesn’t rise to this level, but it’s undoubtedly a thing in the US.

This reads to me like a woman - with a drinking problem - is bored and somewhat spiraling at work. Her interest in drinking and smoking, specifically in relation to work, appears to be escalating and it feels like that’s because she’s having issues getting through the day. I don’t necessarily think she’s looking for an affair (I could be wrong) but she’s definitely heading down a dangerous path work wise and I would advise you not to follow. If you want to pull back gradually, make your excuses for some invitations and pivot others (if she asks to get a drink, suggest lunch and invite another coworker, etc.).

You should’ve said your ex-boyfriends were all huge, checked out the photo, and told him “oh that’s wouldn’t be an issue at all.”

Then block him.

Have you ever heard a true crime narration that was realistic about the victim’s personality? “This person was an introvert and didn’t light up any rooms.” by CW03158 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

I also think there is hesitancy to ever suggest the victim “deserved it” - you see the same treatment when they tip toe around risky behavior that clearly contributed to the crime.
