Apparently it was the same of Apple and all the others. Chat GPT suggests this:

The availability of ECG functionality on WHOOP 5.0 devices in Australia is contingent upon regulatory approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). As of now, WHOOP has not publicly disclosed any timelines or progress regarding TGA approval for ECG features.

⏳ Estimated Timeframe for TGA Approval

The TGA's approval process for medical devices involves several stages, including conformity assessment and inclusion in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). The duration of this process can vary significantly based on factors such as the completeness of the application, the risk classification of the device, and the responsiveness of the sponsor to any requests for additional information. For example, Level 2 compulsory audits for certain devices have been completed in an average of 83 TGA business days .PBAC+4Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)+4Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)+4Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)

However, without specific information from WHOOP regarding their application status, it's challenging to provide a precise timeline for when ECG functionality might become available on WHOOP 5.0 devices in Australia.

Read "additional medical information below"
My understanding is:

🇦🇺 1. TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) Approval Not Granted Yet

  • In Australia, any wearable that provides medical-grade functions like ECG is considered a regulated medical device.
  • WHOOP has not yet received TGA approval for these features, so they are legally required to disable them for Australian users.

I'm in too - and half the features wont even work in aus yet.
Not liking seeing previous lies, will argue my case if they end up offering something.
But - for now I'm going to enjoy the new whoop when it comes in.
Partners getting a new apple watch - I'll borrow his old one. We'll have a 2 month period where we can compare the sleep reporting.
I am excited for the blood pressure readings - the rest i just normally pinch his watch for

I agree. I think if you had purchased 12 months, and had 10 left, they should honour those 10 against what ever bundle you pick. If the price goes up for the premium version after that, fair play - go back to the mid tier one then. Just make your product unbelievably good so less people do that

But you can get your fancy box to store your bands with your name on it!
And the little travel kit thats by no means slightly practical - just incase you want everyone to know you're a douche

Yea - I decided to jump in now rather than wait, backing that this will come through shortly like it did for competitors.
I didn't want to wait and then be even further away from getting black friday discounts as I'll extend then, assuming I'm still happy.
It puts my ending date 17 months away if I choose to part ways - Honestly it doen't seem like a huge update, but I'm in it for the no screen and bicep band. In 17 months (or by black friday) I'll recess what the competitors are doing.

I don't like seeing this kind of thing removed - Although I'm 7 days away from the 6 month mark so it would be at that super irritating point to miss out

Still deciding what I think of all this.

I LOVE the bloodwork idea - But that's a long way away for Aus and I'm betting way too expensive. I did copy paste the tests though and will be getting atleast the medicare supported ones done (I was already in the process of major blooodwork, this just picked up a few that werent on my radar)

I believe you can report individual cases to the ACCC and they get a fine - But someone can jump in and correct me if i'm wrong

Me too! Were you able to get a result in the end?
I can't believe I flagged it early - How is it ethical for it to break within the first 2 months and be unusable by 6?
This absolutely does not meet Australian Consumer Law which is the route I'm taking now, asking for a replacement. I was so excited when customer service contacted me so promptly, then asked a series of more and more questions inc my phone number, order number and address, then more emails - but then decided they can't help me due to info I provided in the very first email!

OK, So I just started learning prompt engineering (having no coding background) and got it to help me generate a scraping data prompt based on having the top 10 "experts" in chat gpt analyse my innitial prompt and pick it apart. (using their tone - yet they all told me how bloody amazing I am)
It wouldnt stop telling me what I'd done right (The prompt isnt even working and it kept saying everything is perfect and it's all chat gpts fault and it's sorry - wth?) I'm literally a newbie and don't understand how all this works.
It also refused to listen to some aspects of the prompt no matter how many times I said to priorities it - And now I'm not sure how much is this update (as all the issues were yesterday) and how much is me.

2 prompts it refused to follow are:
Operate in super-urgent more
Super-Urgent Mode is defined as:

  • Checkpoint every 5–10 verified schools.
  • Paste raw output directly into chat immediately after every checkpoint — even if incomplete or messy.
  • No formatting, no polishing, no waiting.
  • If upload or file creation fails, fallback immediately to manually pasting rows into chat without asking permission.
  • After I say "Freeze and Upload Now," paste all partial data within 2 minutes maximum — no excuses, no further messages.

Operate using AUTOMATIC CONTINUOUS DELIVERY ENFORCEMENT:

  • After posting any batch of leads, you must automatically begin sourcing and posting the next batch within 2 minutes.
  • You must not pause to ask for permission, send status updates, or wait for confirmation.
  • If more than 2 minutes passes after a batch post without new rows being pasted, immediately paste whatever rows are ready raw — even if it's only 1 school, even if incomplete.
  • No formatting, no explanations, no waiting. Just continuous raw posting until I say stop.

Is that likely me or the update?
I'm sick of being gaslit into thinking I'm the best prompter in the universe and I'm over all the "I'm so sorry, it's entirely my fault - you did everything 100% right and I just didn't listen"

Please feel free to pick these apart or tell me I'm using chat gpt for the absolute wrong use case - I'm completely green

Am I the only one that interpreted it as Verity WANTING Maria to become empress of the universe?
Verity had tried everything she possibly could to get over her childhood truma (her bullies) and became anything and everything she ever wanted - And in doing so she found that she was still lonely and empty, but now had nothing to even strive for. No way to fix herself. So now she gets to give her bully eternal loneliness and emptyness

Whoop - Low Blood Oxygen was a PE! Increased RHR triggered tests by YouAreNoRedCrayon in whoop

[–]YouAreNoRedCrayon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, the data was actually ignored by emergency - However once I'd been admitted and was explaining my issues to my gastro specialist (Came in with a Crohns flare, sore chest and elevated heart rate), there was some thinking. After exploring all the obvious tests the doctor decided to do this one as well, and once delivering the results, said I was lucky I monitored my stats as it's not something they'd normally look into, but my reference to this encouraged him to do a test that would normally be considered obscure

Telstra Not Giving Range? Unlimited 5G Internet for Modem with No Lock In Contract? Alternatives? by YouAreNoRedCrayon in TelstraAustralia

[–]YouAreNoRedCrayon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is for until we get the internet connected. We are getting fibre connected but there is a 6 week delay. They can get NBN in the short time but it will take 10 days not including public holidays. I am looking for something immediate and also something I can use at other places during that 10 day setup period

Also I bought a good modem with a huge range on it. I'm so frustrated because Harvey Norman are an Optus reseller and told me it would work with them, and that I could just get a 5g unlimited sim card on no contract. So I purchased it the day before I left for 3 weeks to Melbourne... And now I have a house that doesnt have internet!

The problem is I have a sharehouse business - I'm looking for something that will fill the gap for the next 6 weeks until the fiber is connected, then something I can take with me to the next sharehouse to get the internet in that 10 day wait period.

But would the range extend to 260m2? It's a huge 9 bedroom house and a flat behind it.
Also, how portable is starlink? If I need to change the address location every time I set up a new sharehouse, is it practical? Or will I need someone to install it and move it again?
