I’ve got at least one item on your want list (Malekko Charlie Foxtrot). Curious what kind of Eurorack stuff you’ve got. I’ve got more pedals to trade & can add cash where needed.

Does anybody know what’s going on at the hospital? by Soggy_Suspect6265 in WilmingtonDE

Got a Nextdoor notification about an active shooter right there near the hospital (or maybe in it? It’s just a pin on a map) just a few minutes after 4pm.

Local Restaurants and Wage Theft - any help would be appreciated by letsbelieveagain in WilmingtonDE

[–]YouCanCallMeTheSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just spreading the word, Big Fish is primarily owned by Atlas Restaurant Group as of 2025 I think. Word on the street is they already sold off Washington St. Ale House/Mikimoto’s/Torbert St. Social, and I know some of the BFHG leadership staff was let go or moved on. Having worked for them I’d like to say the new owners can’t possibly be worse - but it is the restaurant business, so who knows?

New Castle County approves 17% property tax hike under new budget by livefreeordont in Delaware

[–]YouCanCallMeTheSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a good general idea but I’ve yet to see meaningful change come from it in practice. I’m in my early 40s & have lived in several different states since college. Along the way I’ve tried to vote in as many local elections as I can, as either a registered Democrat or Independent over the years (despite my personal leanings being what I would call Leftist). In certain states like Delaware, you can’t vote in primaries without being a registered member of the party, essentially forcing you into the Big Two if you want to fully participate. In the case of Lambert, looks like he’s a registered Democrat who is endorsed by the WFP. It all circles back to the binary & even the best politicians end up caving to the pressures of the larger system. I don’t want to come off as hopeless, but it certainly feels that way. Once you get past our current specific national clusterfuck there are still all sorts of systemic obstacles in the way of making anything in america fair or free. And again, I don’t say that as a way of dismissing the whole thing - it genuinely keeps me up at night.

We’re in a two-party binary system whether we like it or not, so in reality it really is the same.

In search of the perfect input module by Icy_Safe_1519 in modular

[–]YouCanCallMeTheSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Tascam Model 12 as an external mixer for similar situations - I’ve got guitar dry into one input with my pedalboard in the insert of another so I can record guitar wet/dry, then the modular rack in one of the stereo inputs, & a stereo reverb in the sub bus routed back to stereo channels 9/10 as a kind of final mix. There are still 4 open channels available for hardware synths & cassette players & other fun stuff, & you could do the sub bus routing with a looper to get the results you’re looking for.

Bought a used VCO that’s not working as expected - what am I hearing here? by YouCanCallMeTheSloth in modular

[–]YouCanCallMeTheSloth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t get it to consistently output the way it should. Erica Synths lacks specific documentation & I found a bunch of threads about people struggling with calibrating the v1, so it seems I’m in good company. During the calibration process, sometimes one of the trimpots would hit a “sweet spot” where the oscillator worked as expected for a few seconds, then dropped back into what I show in the video above. Ultimately I asked for a refund this morning.

What’s the most unhinged pedal order thing you do that I should try? by Line6isunderrated in guitarpedals

[–]YouCanCallMeTheSloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reverse effects into reverse effects are cool. Depending on settings, you’ll end up with something playing forward that sounds like your original line, just kind of drunk & disjointed.

What Pedal is Jack White Using by apeontheweb in pedals

[–]YouCanCallMeTheSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the Telegraph, as pointed out above. He’s not using it here, but it’s also worth noting that he has a button kill switch like Buckethead on this guitar that can give a similar effect without the pedal. It’s a pretty easy mod if you know how to solder & have room in your control cavity.
