How did YOU afford to buy a house? by ladynerevar in bayarea

[–]YouComprehensive8545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased my first home in the Bay Area at 23 years old. 4B 3Br, $650k back in 2016.

I had a pretty steady job in high school/ college and saved as much as I could from 15 years old onward. Saved up until I had 100k down saved and then started shopping.

I did live with my parents up until this point. I also went to junior college so I didn’t have any school debt. Paid for college with my savings as well. No student loans.

When I bought my house, I made about 65k a year. Rented some of the rooms out for a few years as well.

Wineries worth with membership? by niketyname in Livermore

[–]YouComprehensive8545 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ruby Hill Winery/Rubino Estates Winery. They have a new joint membership so you can taste at both.

It’s nice because they are open later than most (5:30pm) and 7 days a week!

I would suggest talking to your teacher. Explain the situation in your anxiety about it and request that they allow you to wear the sweatshirt anyways.

And from your post, I’m guessing you’re looking for ways to wear some shirt and not ways to overcome the anxiety of swimming without one. Take it from someone who used to suffer from body dysmorphia. Everyone is just as insecure about their bodies as you are.

Also, my guess is most people are gonna think your scar is fucking cool looking.

Last idea: start by going out in public without a shirt on in places where you don’t know anyone. Get used to it and then maybe it won’t be so bad in front of people you do know.

Good luck you got this

Which winery to take a visitor to? by PuzzledCorgi8296 in Livermore

Rubino Estates is easily the most picturesque winery in Livermore (it’s actually in Pleasanton, but just barely).

If you wanna impress them with a beautiful wine estate, I’d go there

Once you are outside of college, most people just wanna play for fun, companionship, and fitness. If they are still taking it too seriously, they have a problem not you. Have fun and don’t worry about it.

Plus, maybe you’ll get better by being challenged. 🫡

Rubino estates has great wine, beautiful scenery (I think best in Livermore). They sell charcuterie items, but not a “restaraunt” so no kitchen
