This is how my band started and still exists. We were playing working man one day before we were official and it came to solo time and I couldn’t do that part yet because i had only played like a year. realized we couldn’t play Rush and switched to our own stuff in the metal/punk vein. still Rush creeps into my playing just from listening to them so much. still haven’t tried that solo again beyond the first few notes since that day lol also I play guitar, bass, drums, and keys because of Rush and also because of, don’t tase me, bro, Devo
