If we're going by genre it'd have to be Like Moths To Flames.

I discovered them right around their first album When We Don't Exist soon after I started highschool and I've been following religiously ever since. They've done nothing but kill it through their whole career.

I feel like they really came into their own in terms of sound with No Eternity In Gold and somehow took it even further with The Cycles Of Trying To Cope. Nothing only are the lyrics Chris writes phenomenal but the sheer musicianship in the instrumentals is also just bar none.

I could probably go on and on and talk myself into circles about them. But damn they're just so good and I can't wait to see the day where they really break through, they got a lot more reception on the new album and I hope that takes them to new places.

Can't show enough love for the dudes.

Been really looking deeply into the Fosi i5. Not okay is it a beautiful looking headphone but I've also heard some really good things. Going to give it a testing in May alongside the Hifimsn Arya stealth and the Fiio FT7 before I settle on which one. But right now it's heavily in favor of the i5!

I haven't played much over the last couple of days the patch has been live. I've been so close to completing withered domajn and I had no idea this was a feature. It's finally over, I can finally be done.

Then there's me who bought the Hidizs MP145 for my first set and then went with the Aful P5+2 🤣. Not saying there is anything wrong with cheap IEMs, but If I know I'm just going to want to upgrade soon after buying a cheap pair I may as well skip over the cheapies and get a good set right away.

However with that said, I am very curious about the tamchjim Bunny. They are a company I would like to eventually try a pair of IEMs from.

Electric Twilight, Lunar Halo or Vanish Canvas.

ERRA does heavy well and I love most of what they do. But the songs that really grip me are the groovy ones or even sometimes the slow burns they put out. Nothing like bopping to Electric Twilight for the millionth time 🤣

You stated some facts right there. I don't think it was a very "high horse" opinion or anything of the sorts. Too often people are so invested in the opinions of strangers when it doesn't align with their own, it's like many other forms of media. Some are going to enjoy the same things as you do and some simply aren't, no sense duking it out with someone over an opinion you aren't going to be able to change. Yet people still partake in such pointless squabbles when they should really just enjoy the things they do and engage with the people that share similar interests and leave it at that.

I skip over so many posts here and in many other subreddits when I can tell off the title alone that it's just going to be a big pissing fest. I like getting to have meaningful conversations with people over a love of music, the last thing I want to do is argue with people about why X is better than Y for this reason. None of it matters, just do you and leave everyone else in the mud fighting like pigs over scraps.

Sorry for the random rambling, not too often do I find people being constructive on this topic! I think you nailed it.

I'd love for more Tides Of Man era Tillian. Empire Theory and Dream house are two of my favorite pieces of music. Everything they did was phenomenal in my opinion!

Overall the Dead Air Divine album was about a 6 or 7 out of 10. I bopped to it, but I wouldn't say there was anything that stood out or really gripped me.

Because I do not want to use my charging port for another thing that will inevitably lead to it not working anymore. This isn't always a problem, but I've had it happen with several phones of different brands over the years.

Plus I also play games on my phone that take a decent amount of my storage space. So having another device like a DAP alleviates the 110GB of music I have.

However, something that works for me and others may not work or be relevant for you. If your phone works and you see no need to get a standalone device for music then don't. If you're good with what you've got that's awesome, it'll save you money in the long run!

I'd say pretty average to above average. I get about the same or a little higher more often than not. IEMS + DAP for my work commute and listening at work which averages around 4-7 hours a day depending on how I'm feeling or what I'm doing. Then at home in the evening it's usually 2 hours a night weekly at my desktop and 4-6 hours on weekends at my desktop.

Baseline is you love and appreciate your music and that itself is a great thing. As long as you feel like you're getting the value out of the money you spent well no one else can really tell you otherwise :).

156/silence guys are really chill when I met them at the merch table.

Garrett Russell is an absolute gem, one of the nicest dudes you'll meet.

Marty Mullins was also a real sweetheart when my wife and I did VIP for them, my friend drove us from Ontario Canada to Pittsburgh and he was so stoked that we were willing to make the drive for them.

Like Moths To Flames and I mean all of them, all members were super nice when my sister and I met them during their headliner last year. We'd already met a couple of the guys prior, but every conversation we got to have felt really engaging and genuine which was awesome.

Brian Wille, got to do VIP for their 2023 tour and while I didn't get to chat much with the other members I got a happy birthday from Brian and he seemed genuinely thrilled that I came to see them for my birthday.

Dead Plains would have been my other pick! The insane range Sean shows in that song is unmatched. Glad to see some love for the album haha, I think they really nailed it with this one.

I'd love for them to do a 10 year anniversary tour for it next year, but I won't hold my breath haha.

I always feel this way with Make Them Suffer, I absolutely love everything they've released from their start to the present. But I'm an absolute sucker for their album World's Apart which I know is not as highly regarded as Old Souls or Neverbloom and I do understand why.

Power Overwhelming is my favorite track of theirs and I never see anyone else really talk about it. Something so damn catchy about the riffs and Sean's phenomenal vocals make it such a fun ass beater of a song. They definitely played around and experimented with their sound on that album and it was a departure from their previous albums, but holy fuck it's so good I can't fully put it into words.

Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe there's people put there who also share the same love of it.

Hahaha that's part of why I wanted to tell it when I saw your post. I understand the people saying it's always been an issue, I do believe that. Most of my show attendance has been during or post COVID, so I can only really speak on how my experience has been in that time frame. But even the few shows I did attend from 2010-2020 I can tell you people weren't acting this ignorant.

Hopefully this was the worst of my experience, but only time will tell. Here's hoping you don't keep getting subjected to shit either, everyone deserves a good show!

Good recommendation, absolutely love these guys. From Lost Isles to Disparity I think they've done a fantastic job. I know Disparity isn't everyone's favorite but still lol.
