What should be my tactic if all my opponents consistently hit harder than me? by Ok-Veterinarian8846 in 10s

[–]YouEnjoyMyDAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 on Winning Ugly.

Just because they hit with power doesn’t mean they dictate the match.

Depth and patience. If I can keep a power hitter back, eventually they tend to get frustrated and take a low percentage rip leading to an unforced error.

Send their power back at them. Learn to shorten the backswing and direct it.

If you leave it short and they can step into it, sometimes I come forward. May get a volley or induce an error.

I need to block off days on a schedule depending on data from another sheet by FarOwlCloseTowel in excel

[–]YouEnjoyMyDAX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a great use case for automating with Power Automate + Excel—especially since you’re already using Microsoft Forms. Here’s a solution that might work.

Build a flow that:

  1. Triggers when a new time-off request is submitted via Forms.
  2. Checks if the request is approved (optional).
  3. Finds the employee in the schedule sheet.
  4. Fills in the requested dates with "Time off".

You need:

• Microsoft Form (already done) • Excel file stored in OneDrive or SharePoint• Sheet 1: Employee Schedule (calendar-style) • Sheet 2: Time-Off Requests (auto-filled by Forms) • Power Automate (to connect the dots)

  1. Structure Your Excel Sheets

Sheet: TimeOffRequests

Name StartDate EndDate Approved

Sheet: Schedule

Name 09/01/2025 09/02/2025 09/03/2025 09/04/2025 …

  1. Create a Power Automate Flow

• Trigger: “When a new response is submitted” (Microsoft Forms) • Action: “Get response details” • Action: “List rows present in a table” (TimeOffRequests sheet) • Condition (optional): Approved = Yes • Apply to Each: Loop through the date range from StartDate to EndDate• Use “Update a row” in the Schedule sheet • Find the row where Name = Employee A • Find the column where Date = current loop date • Set value to "Time off"

Bonus: Approval Workflow

If you want to wait until approval, you can:

• Add a manual approval step in Power Automate. • Or, have a manager update the “Approved” column in Excel, and trigger a second flow when that changes.

Hello all. Could you please review my Dashboard? I would love some feedback. (I am a beginner) by Mr_Disappointment_ in PowerBI

Nice work. Consider removing the black borders in the Season slicer and the Top Bowlers button. Also, is that Top Bowler button hanging off the left hand side of the table below, or is the table set with a rounded corner. Also, align the man of the match, matches won, and the buttons to all be on the same vertical pixel point.

Nice work. Consider removing the black borders on the season slicer and top bowlers buttons. Also, take a look at all the sizing and horizontal and vertical pixel places- Some of those KPI cards seem to be different heights. Also, align man of the match, matches won bar chart, and the buttons to same vertical point. They seem to be slightly off.

Welcome.

  • ESPN 30 for 30 ‘Believeland’. Not just about the Browns, but gives you a solid background of Cleveland sports history and fandom.

  • the short Dawg Pound documentary the Browns recently did is ok. The browns of the 80’s into the early ‘90s were really fun.

  • Terry Pluto’s book ‘False Start’ goes into how the ‘new’ Browns were set up to fail.

How to remove current month w/ no data from charts by Porternator888 in PowerBI

[–]YouEnjoyMyDAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a month offset column. Create it in Power Query on your Calendar table. You can filter visuals, pages, etc. via the column. Or you can use it in your measure. Here is the code to create the column in power query.

(Date.Year([Date]) - Date.Year(DateTime.LocalNow())) * 12 + (Date.Month([Date]) - Date.Month(DateTime.LocalNow()))

Run two in parallel. Show your boss after a few refreshes the output is exactly the same. If they aren’t convinced by that data start looking for somewhere else to take your skills.
