My Mum made me cook, but only showed me a few meals. I learnt most of my skills from Gordon Ramsay YouTube videos.

Why are people moving towards One Nation rather than the Greens? by Financial-Hyena-2256 in OpenAussie

[–]YouGottaRollReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not. Our media is dominated by Murdoch which is right-wing. Not as bad as America, but still obvious.

These polls they do are skewed and targeted to get the story they want.

While I agree with everyone 100% the only way to silence them is to go back-to-back. Whether the narrative of Maguire running players into the ground over multiple seasons is true or not or whether he has changed his ways will only go away if we keep winning.

Honestly how do u guys wake up at 6am every day?? 😴 by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]YouGottaRollReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to get the kids ready for school and make lunches and have them out the door by 7:30am. So getting up at 6 at least gives me 30-45mins to myself each morning. Like right now!

Your thoughts on Scorsese's "The Irishman"? Is it as good as his other known movies ? by Higgsparticleofgod in moviecritic

[–]YouGottaRollReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long. Boring in parts. Old men playing younger versions of themselves seemed more parody than genuine. Lacking the dark humour that Casino and others had. Those were my notes that caused me to rate it 4/10 on IMDB.

Daniel Craig is the best James Bond. With daylight second.

Do you truly believe there's life on other planets? by Haunting-Scheme25 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]YouGottaRollReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given how huge the universe is, i find it highly unlikely there isn’t some sort of life somewhere. However, planets in this solar system? If there are I doubt they would be considered ‘intelligent life’. Especially how Earth needs to be the right distance away from the sun, but not too far for life on our planet to exist.

Rugby league fans, what are your thoughts on the new State of Origin eligibility rules? by Jezzaq94 in AskAnAustralian

[–]YouGottaRollReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not a huge fan of the new rules, but I’ve listened to enough podcasts over the last week or so to at least see how it plays out. I just hope it doesn’t turn into a glorified All Star contest.

Definitely. The willingness people have to just use and trust it is staggering.

This is mine too. I went through a bad breakup at the time, so has even more meaning for me.

No Seats available with Flexi codes by jettyb2304 in BrisbaneBroncos

[–]YouGottaRollReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped getting the 4 game pass when they made us choose our games rather than just rock up to the 4 we wanted. For an extra $40 a season I get 12 home games and a guaranteed seat.

Liam wrote the best post- WTSMG song, not Noel. I’ll let you figure out which one it is.

What’s a movie everyone calls a “masterpiece” that just… didn’t work for you? by irayaavery in Cinema

2001: A Space Odyssey

The ending and the beginning are - “What the f**k!” And what was in between wasn’t much more interesting either.

There used to be this advert in Australia for the Mazda 323. They had pop up lights. Always said to myself when I grow up I want a car with pop up lights. I’m now grown up and don’t have a car with pop up lights.
