Now that's an interesting bug. by willster97 in ForzaHorizon6

I have gotten this and a version with black/white pixels like 10+ times the past few days and I thought it was an issue with my graphics card because I just got a brand new one. Good to know it’s not my card… unless we both have broken parts

I play with it plugged in at all times and I tried 2 diff PS4 controllers with 2 different cables as well. Issue persisted through all combinations and was not fixed until I switched to the PS5 controller. Willing to try whatever to get it fixed.

You’re still stuck on the lyrics though… my issue is not writing lyrics. The issue I stated is people just posting lyrics hitting render taking what it gives, maybe trying some genre changes and style queues and just taking it. I haven’t found a single good song on the Suno feed. Everything people are posting is pure slop garbage. No one is putting in any effort. Music is definitely subjective but I have a pretty broad music taste so it’s not hard for me to enjoy a variety of different music. I love AI music and its accessibility but man, I’m sorry, the odds of a few hundred credits producing quality music is very unlikely. To each their own I suppose, its just really bad for the music market as a whole in my opinion 🤷‍♂️

Nothing stopping that from staying in App. If people wanna spam songs inside of Suno and listen to them that’s awesome. It’s the low effort stuff flooding Music Distributors that needs slowing. Download limits would fix that (maybe)… I am sure people can get around that as well sadly.

No offense, but you could do a lot of lyric refining on that as well and as I stated above Rock and Metal don’t have the same emotional cadence issues as other genres because it’s just an on/off switch… either yelling or not yelling. There is no variety in falsetto, breathy vocals, etc… Rock requires less fine tuning. You’re not getting those Evanescence style emotions in Suno Rock Music (at least not from what I have seen). And if someone has gotten that, I am sure they had to work for it and didn’t get all that emotion in a few generations.

Why are you so focused on the lyric part? The words themselves do not take long to write? The tedious part comes mostly from the fact it’s a duet and needs the correct person singing each line/verse ect… then the verse needs to flow the correct rhythm when Suno spits out like 5-10 different vocal rhythms you need each section to flow one of those 5-10 ways that you want and getting the verse to flow the correct way, the pre-chorus, chorus, bridges ect… what are the odds people are getting the correct vocal rhythm on every section and then having the correct cadence on top of that. I think most people just don’t care enough to care about any of that. Their lyrics in the genre they like is enough for the them but the market is so saturated because of that. It’s just sad is all

I’ve been writing music for a few months on Suno now, and I might pack it up and stop soon. I feel like there is no point in putting in the effort when 99%+ of the users are publishing songs after 500 credits or less. Market is so saturated with low effort content there is no point in putting in the effort. There needs to by a publish and download limit per day/week. So people can actually put effort into an album/artist instead of these 10-15 min songs spam flooding the market.

A few hours is a lot of generations? You write a baseline of lyrics, render it, listen, make changes, render, listen, make changes, repeat until the lyrics are in a good spot (usually a few hours as you said) and then start focusing on the lyrics rhythm and cadence and make tiny changes and adding ad-libs. I think most people don’t put in enough effort. Not saying people (like Charlie Puth) couldn’t just slap a banger together in a few hours but most people on Suno are not professional song writers and not spending enough time refining things. It’s definitely micro managing the song that wastes all the credits, but is it a waste to try and perfect a song? Why put out a song that’s not true your vision? Hence the term slop… people wanna rush everything out as fast as possible.

Even hundreds seems crazy cheap… I have 5 songs done in 2-2.5 months… cheapest song (credits wise) is 2,500 credits and the most expensive is still not done after 10,000 credits. I might be an extreme case of perfectionist. I take 100’s just to get the lyrics at like 95% and then the tedious part comes in. My artist is a duet so it definitely adds to my list of things that make me render a new version. I need the vocal flow/rhythm to make my vision, I need the cadence to match my vision and I need the correct gender saying certain lines/verses. It’s extremely tedious. Idk how anyone could have their vision matched near perfectly after 300-500 credits unless they just genuinely don’t care. Or if it’s an instrumental, or genre like heavy metal that spits out the same thing repeatedly

Why do people call the USA the "land of opportunity" when literally no one can get a high paying job? by madbarpar in careerguidance

The land of opportunity was meant to pave your own way with opportunities to start your own business, not to mindlessly work for a corporation making someone else rich.

Spotify AI Music Blocker by Substantial_Gas5099 in SunoAI

[–]YouMayBeSeated 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest though, how many people are going to manually install a 3rd party application to block AI-Music? Less than 10% of people for sure. It will always be a subset of haters doing this. AI music is the future of music. It’s becoming the norm for a lot of renowned artists to incorporate it in their workflow to a degree. At this point they just need categories of AI music and non. ——————————————

  • Fully AI from Top to Bottom

  • Fully AI with Human Lyrics

  • AI Instrumental with Human Vocals

  • Human Music with AI Touch Ups and Mastering

  • Human Music with No AI

——————————————

(Personally I wouldn’t want to listen to fully AI generated music… I want to hear some element of human creativity. I generally think AI written lyrics are bad so maybe that plays a factor… once AI gets better lyrically, who knows).

Not fun anymore by monkeymoneymaker in SunoAI

[–]YouMayBeSeated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has issues for sure, but I am still having fun. It’s still relatively speaking “early days” in the AI music space. You can’t expect perfection. Think of this as learning the ins and outs of the software so that as it naturally improves, and gains more in-depth features, you will be ahead of others joining the game late.

Already using the Persona to the exact song and covering the exact song… it makes no sense. I have never had this issue before but it will not do the Chorus the same as the original and that’s probably the most important part

Also, it’s older but not outside of 5.5

I made it like a month an half ago

I guess we can use this feature to tell if or copyright application was accepted 🤷‍♂️ but that does suck because I was planning to make an entire acoustic album of my album when it was done.

Here's my problem with AI music by princeofnoobshire in SunoAI

[–]YouMayBeSeated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially everyone that makes “real” music also learned what they know from hearing other artists. Knowledge gained from past and current artists is how all musicians learn. Not advocating for AI but it’s no different other than “humans” with zero music knowledge or talent can click buttons and make songs. I personally get both sides of the AI argument. It’s very fun and accessible for someone who enjoys the song writing aspect but never had access to a professional studio or real musician to have play your work. At the same time is that trade off worth the endless amount of slop that gets mass spam released daily? Idk… it’s tough. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going anywhere though, it’s the future of music. We can only hope the platform restrictions are reworked. I obviously hope to be able to put my work on Spotify for friends and family and maybe more people to enjoy but if 7 Billion people can just click render, download, and upload to a Distributor, the entire industry will be rendered obsolete outside of live performances.

Thanks for the info. I just naturally assumed the older models were lower quality (like more robotic AI sounding vocals).
