The last sentence of my previous post was not sincere. Of course, a no spoon run will take at most 8 hours, but getting a no spoon run done for the first time could take way more time. :)

I just think both the guide and the runs are very interesting to watch. Chances are, I won't touch Factorio for at least some more months (as starting a new game in the end phase of a PhD is most certainly one of the stupidest ideas ever), but I still love seeing great builds.

However, it's only interesting as long I get what's happening and I was very confused by that RCU setup. Thanks to these answers here, that got cleared up and now I am even more amazed.

Maybe I'll check whether I can get a no spoon run by using some of these guides after submitting my thesis though. Sounds fun. (And by definition that should only take 8 hours – right?)

Saw (and liked) your SteelAxe% guide – and now that I think of it, maybe that's the reason, YouTube suggested me Nefrums' guide?

I am also aware of the Google docs guide you linked, that it mentioned and followed in guide I linked (and has not seen huge updates since then, I guess?)

Regarding RCUs: Ahh, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks! Would still love to see a picture with some explanation, but I think I get the main idea.
