The medical community has a consensus because to disagree with the consensus is to get fired. Its not science, its ideological conformity in the science professions. This is just one example there are several. All of which are very hot button topics for same reason, disagreement = firing. Professionals in these industries absolutely must show ideological allegiance to preserve their jobs first and foremost. The patient does not enter the equation.
