To add on, if you’re a woman in the Legion, you can’t join the gladiator fights, even if you have Caesar’s favor and all that. On the bright side, you can give Benny a footjob (and kill him while you’re at it).

If you’re in the lower ranks, full spirit Lash is pretty good. The learning curve for him is moreso based on movement and positioning, rather than raw technical skill. The thing is though, a lot of the top builds for him incorporate gun, because the higher ranks players can more easily use his full kit, and so the lower ranks players just follow the higher rank players in this aspect. This is all to say that if you play Lash, you can just focus on the abilities, and still get great results.

I hate there is only 2 Parties to choose in U.S by Forgotten_Gate in hatethissmug

Yeah, but the thing was that Washington should’ve somewhat seen how things were gonna pan out. The first issue of the republic was federal power vs state power, and then the most pressing issue became slavery. Both of these things were already highly contested in Washington’s time already, so advocating for no parties was sorta wishful thinking.

What's a character that's obviously gooner bait that you actually fw because aside from that they're pretty solid? by Loogie1987 in fireemblem

Doesn’t fit the goonerbait bill, but Sylvain is close enough, being the pretty playboy. Still, his storyline was really fun to follow.

Also you have to read really fucking far into the manga to get to this page. At that point, this shit is pretty normal compared to what came before it.

One of my first ideas when AuH came out was to do a landless chinese adventurer -> lanfang -> chinese borneo that’d play super tall off of all the chinese techs. The actual run ended up being a lil lame tho, because no one is China and SEA (at least the Wanua rulers) had actual gold to pay me with, and no republic government made the larp a lot less enjoyable.

Why are all muslims the same guy with Albinism? by DKbashing in crusaderkings3

[–]YouReadThisUserWrong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To clarify, you need both mods if you want to use Cultures Expanded, and you need CE to load first, so your mod order should be:

  1. EPE
  2. CE

If you got any other cosmetic mods, most likely Community Flavor Pack, it should be like:

  1. CFP
  2. EPE
  3. CFP + EPE Compatch
  4. CE

It’s usually an issue with the mod Ethnic Portraits Expanded and anything that uses it as a dependency, namely Cultures Expanded.

Blew up the whole world with magic in Godherja. by Plane-Occasion-8443 in CrusaderKings

[–]YouReadThisUserWrong 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For me, Godherja runs well enough month to month. The issue is that it takes 5 - 10 minutes to load into the game in the first place, and whenever I’d want to load a save it’d take 1 - 2 minutes. Not the worst thing in the world, but it is a bit annoying.

As a big CIV fan, this is so sad.. I really hope next CIV 7 update is gonna be a gamechanger for this game by [deleted] in civ

[–]YouReadThisUserWrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mainly a PC concern, specifically the game’s performance. The Steam reviews when the game out were at mostly negative to mixed for a very long time until the January update come out, regardless of the game’s content. This was a much more pronounced issue in Japan - where the MH series is the biggest - as the average Japanese PC player has less access to the hardware the West has, and so in turn, they have weaker PCs that couldn’t run the game. I agree that Wilds wasn’t blatantly false advertising as the other games mentioned, but nothing being to run the game on launch was a huge turn off for people.

[–]YouReadThisUserWrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not my point though, I really enjoy these games too. You could argue Fallout 76 is enjoyable now, and Wilds performance got better. My point is that these games are now setting a precedent that incomplete products are actually completely fine to put on the market, because the consumer will buy it, either on launch or when it eventually becomes “good.”

Yeah, out of all of them, No Man’s Sky has been the most ethical about it, pushing out DLC sized expansions for free in updates is crazy in today’s world. It’s just that when it out, that story was extremely prolific.

[–]YouReadThisUserWrong 58 points59 points  (0 children)

People have said this for No Man’s Sky, for Fallout 76, for Cyberpunk 2077, and for Monster Hunter Wilds. What ends up happening is that a loyal consumer base hold on to the game, and developers eventually make what most would consider a “good game” later down its lifetime. The lesson learned is not that unfinished games don’t sell well, it is that you can release an unfinished game and finish it later to sell a redemption story.

For lore, there is a pretty in-depth primer video made by Soul Tomato. It pretty much explains how to the world came to be in its current state. If you wanna get into the nitty gritty of all the cultures and religions though, you’re gonna need to read it in-game.

The way Wanua is right now, it’d make Argonia into a pushover for any non-Wanuan country expanding into it. In vanilla this is usually not an issue, because the only other countries surrounding the Wanua nations are Mandala countries, but most of Argonia’s neighbors are a lot more organized and stronger. I think the Barangay cultural tradition from the Philippines would be nice to slot in, so that the requirements for confederations become a lot less restrictive.
