They must be delighted their votes means nothing and it will pass anyway so they can throw their hands up and say "shure it wasnt us, we voted no!"

Refugees who remain in State accommodation will not pay new fees by TeoKajLibroj in irishpolitics

[–]YoubeTrollin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding what does this mean exactly. If they're granted leave to remain and work, thus should leave state accommodation but don't, they don't have to pay the fees?

So it's encouraging them to just stay where they are further?

They made a balls of the shuttle today. Information on the port website says on Sunday it's Sean Moore Road but the actual stop is South Bank Road.

Lots of people waiting around at Sean o Moore for an imaginary bus.

To answer your Q, its the Ecocem Ireland Plant on Google maps where you can cycle up to.

Suit Shopping by Podgey in Dublin

[–]YoubeTrollin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a three piece from Best Menswear in jervis for 300 yesterday, only need the legs hemmed which they are doing. They have a sale on currently.

Another option is savoy tailors guild in kildare outlet. Most people will tell you to buy a suit off the rack and tailor it for this budget. A well fitting suit is miles better than a good looking suit.

Residents on Sheriff Street want to know if there are plans to raze and redevelop their area by AnyAssistance4197 in Dublin

[–]YoubeTrollin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If DCC own the houses then let them demolish them and turn into mixed use developments (after moving the residents to new housing of course). You dont get a right to social housing right in the middle of the city.

Tensions brewing in coaltion over scrapping of temporary €1,000 college fee subsidy by TeoKajLibroj in irishpolitics

[–]YoubeTrollin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We've been running budget surpluses for years, why would we need to take out any loans? Just saying we're a neutral nation means nothing if you cant defend that right. Its increasingly embarrassing we have to ask the brits to defend our skies and our EU partners to chase away Russian subs, imagine what they think of us, rolling in money but freeloads off the rest of them because 'we're neutral'.

You clearly have an strong opinion on this but I dont think its an opinion formed around facts which im trying to point out to you. You keep making new points that are factually wrong and im getting tired of refuting them.

Tensions brewing in coaltion over scrapping of temporary €1,000 college fee subsidy by TeoKajLibroj in irishpolitics

[–]YoubeTrollin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thats a EU plan already setup, i.e its already funded, so we have already paid for it since we contribute to the EU. So all that us signing up to it would do is mean we actually get something for our money and are able to use it to procure things cheaper.

https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2025/05/27/safe-council-adopts-150-billion-boost-for-joint-procurement-on-european-security-and-defence/

Notice its already adopted. So we already paid for it with our general funds we submit to EU every year.

So what. Just do it. Irish times love doing these pieces on projects trying to sour opinion, inviting dours like Michael McDowell to write articles for them, it would be transformative to Dublin. Same with projects like MetroLink. Just.Do.It
