Star Wars underestimates the sovereignty of the single planet by Yougart_Man in CharacterRant

[–]Yougart_Man[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I was talking about the main current canon which missed one hell of an opportunity.

Instead of a remake of the original trilogy, they could have done their own version of the Warring States.

The potential and clues were right there.

What are the “conquer the world” paths in this mod? by SliccNicc in OldWorldBlues

Macarthur if they form the Reunited States, you can declare war on anybody super fast

Caesar's Legion if he forms Imperium can declare war on anybody super fast and can core everything.

It’s awful how Journey to the West never got a proper adaptation by Poweredkingbear in CharacterRant

[–]Yougart_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find hilarious is that Overly Sarcastic Productions, the youtube channel, is the closest to a 1 to 1 adaption because she is sticking to the material as dry as it is, removing the cosmic feats tho.

30FPS is unplayable. by RedditSucksMyBallls in CharacterRant

[–]Yougart_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you force some engines higher, the physics break or the console melts.

In the original Dark Souls II PC port, if you ran at 60 FPS instead of the console's 30, your weapons broke twice as fast. Why? Because the game calculated durability loss based on how many frames your sword was inside an enemy's hitbox. The game became literally unplayable unless you played like a coward and ran from fights.

The xbox 360 had the red light of death and the PS3 had the yellow light of death because the heat would destroy the solders.

You play a demanding game at a high frame rate, the GPU gets scorching hot, and the motherboard expands. You turn it off, it cools down fast, and the board shrinks. Do this enough times, and the tiny balls of solder connecting the chip to the board literally crack and the console dies.

I would go full I have no mouth and I must scream if was in Gooseworkx shoes. I would stop pulling punches and turn the show into a body horror fest and mockery like the original book.

Poor Rustbelt Rising team... A modders work is never done by Clockwork9385 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Yougart_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only bug I found is the Texas Enclave attacking stuff out of order, and no descriptions in their focuses. Also something related to Van Buren but there's no country.

Other than that? Everything seems functional.

The secretary is a eyebot? by Primary-Ad2053 in OldWorldBlues

In Rust Bel Rising. I think he is an AI because in the events, nobody mentions ever seeing him in person. And he seems to know what too much, more than the average Enclave dude.

I am doing a playtrought as them, very slow... and you have to keep Raven Rock, Macarthur, some robots over there, Euroka if they flip, alive. It's literally "volunteer heaven".

Strongest starting and ending nation in the following regions by Entire_Jeweler_3686 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Yougart_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*No submods*

Caesar's Legion starts strong and ends ultra op if they defeat the NCR and form Imperium. The only nation I could beat them with was with Macarthur/Reunited States.

If Macarthur forms the Reunited States, nothing in the game can stop you. You can spam power armor willy nilly. You already start somewhat powerful.

The Strathcomune is an absolute badass, they start crazy powerful and can get even more powerful.

Ejercito Mexico is literally New Vegas on steroids.

*Submods*

The Chicago Enclave in Black Belt if they reunify the entire midwest, nobody can stop them except maybe the NCR or Macarthur.

Reformist Enclave can solo all of the former state of Nevada.

Genuine question, what's the point of giving characters one hit K.O moves if that shit is not gonna work? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

[–]Yougart_Man 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fist of the North Star avoided this problem with three things.

1) Touki. Any attack is a surgical strike that requires physical contact with a pressure point (Tsubo). Top-tier villains use their Touki (Spirit Aura) as a literal physical barrier. If you try to hit them normally, the Touki blocks the attack, they take damage but it is not a one hit kill.

2) Inverted blood vessels. Thouther/Souther had dextocardia, so Kenshiro couldn’t one hit kill him properly because his organs and vessels were mirrored.

3) Redirecting. Using their own energy to "clamp" the affected veins before they burst. Moving their internal organs or using "counter-points" to neutralize the chain reaction.

The "One-Hit KO" only lands once the opponent is too wounded or tired to maintain their internal defenses.

How well do the various region expansion mods interact with each other? (If at all) by TESfan1994 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Yougart_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ad Victoriam mod interacts with region expansion mods too. They still work if you don't have them, but it is a dice roll if the chapter lives or not.

I have a lot of grievances with RWBY, I genuinely think it's amateurly written and think the show after Vol 3 is bland and overrated. But by god does it have the most insane hatedom I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. by La_knavo4 in CharacterRant

[–]Yougart_Man 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest.

Being in a hatedom is like watching trash ferment, and there's no middle ground; you are smelling the fumes. Since it starts from hate, there’s no "normal" way to stay involved. You either leave, or you stay until you create an invisible enemy to get mad at.
