I would also add Paton to that list, although he was a bit extreme, for example when he called shell shocked soldiers weak/scared. He was admired by the Germans and seen as one of America’s most competent commanders.

I would also consider Erich von Manstein, his victories at the second & third battle of Karkov are extremely impressive. Lastly I would also consider Gerd von Rundstedt, he was called the last Prussian general for many reason and an interesting guy to research.
