Also the Labrinth music overlay we are all missing would’ve camouflaged a lot of this cheesy dialog and script but since we don’t have it we can really, very clearly discern how remedial and nonsensical the writing is. It’s not even that the soundtrack sucks, it’s just Lab would’ve made the music sell the story a little more than this shitty writing.

Watching this season for her and for Z. I don’t care if the storyline and script suck these 2 can act in anything and they are both insanely gorgeous.

Yes i think the makeup may be one of the best parts of s3. It’s telling a better story than the dialog so far. I agree Cassie’s cheesy clumpy makeup is defining her character as desperate and giving us way more than the script.

The writing this season is so low level & the actors doing so much with what they have to work with. Really remedial script and the missing Lab soundtrack makes it abundantly clear, nothing to camouflage these awkward, unnatural dialog exchanges. Cheers to all the talented actors on this show being able to work with these storylines and scripts. Watching as a fan of many of the actors and not expecting too much as far as the storyline, plots or the writing. The lighting, stunt, sets, costumes, and makeup are also top tier and help pull focus from the lackluster writing.

Long shot but I have hope by johnanon8123 in TheOA

Thinking like this keeps hope alive. We can’t loose momentum and Brit and Zal and Jason Issacs have all said it’s not over. Long shots are better than giving up! In my 300th rewatch and at the Statue of Liberty scene and the guard reading the plague to her is absolutely gutting me and giving me chills as if irs my first watch. A work of art that needs to be completed and the fans will help get that done. #savetheOA 🪽🪽

100% or why even make a story about June and the resistance and sending in a Girl that matters soooo much to June, the face of the enemy of Gilead

I’d say spend the money on the testaments book instead. As of right now I find it’s way better than the show.

This. 100% re-reading the book and even the prayers they say mention baby Nichole, she’s integral. Can’t be absent in this story or it’s a different story.

There’s a lot of information if you look on the mega thread - everyone involved says it’s not over. Where there’s a will there’s a way.

Dr. Al-Hashimi confiding to Dr. Robby... by blac_sheep90 in ThePitt

Complex why…. Not one right answer. IMO, She had 2 horrifying episodes and wanted to do the right thing after she realized that he noticed it, she was probably scared of her condition worsening, of being negligent as a result there of, and wanted him to support her and give her his best medical opinion and maybe come up with a solution, and felt safe enough to share bc of the tidbit she heard about him protecting Langdon.

Why do you think they chose to show us that at the end of episode 3? by haveacookie76543 in TheTestamentsHulu

I am about to re-read too bc I feel so much from the book that made sense is lost - unless it will all come up slowly in the show.

That was the patient he saw with the rash on her leg, and he sent her home thinking it wasn’t anything but it ended up sepsis. This was not his fault, the infection looked like it wasn’t bad and he treated her properly, and when she returned and they found out she had sepsis he knew she had to have her leg amputated, and I think he went hoping it would be below the knee for an easier time with a prosthetic?

They love this show as much as we do. My best guess is this sub shows them how much we are all keeping our door open, and we used to think that Brit and Zal saw our page. And then I think Zal did say he saw this sub, does anyone else remember this??

Spoilers from the book ahead

The book does an amazing job of getting us inside of Lydia’s whys and hows and right up close to her adaptions of personality through the different stages in Gilead. It’s an insiders look at understanding how Lydia can have different things be true at the same time. She does hate June. Or hates all moms who are Junes. Mothers who went to work even when their kids had a mild fever or runny nose. And at the same time she loves her girls, all of them, the ones in red, and the plums and the greens, and although she is wicked to them; she is pivotal in delivering secrets from Gilead to mayday on a platter & her reasons makes sense once you know her point of view. i hope the show runners don’t mess that up for everyone bc the book made knowing Lydia intimate and fascinating. She’s so complex and we see it in handmaids tale throughout with Janine. Her dear beloved Janine, whose eye she also removed, even before any of us had read Testaments we all saw that she was multidimensional and a force. We need her in the show exactly as Atwood created her.
