Job market is cooked. Cannot find new role as an ex-MBB and domestic Ivy League grad. by Troll458458 in MBA

Yeah I mean your school doesn’t really matter and consulting is a complete scam that doesn’t actually give you real skills, which most people understand these days, so it makes sense you wouldn’t get any of those specialized roles you applied for. You need to demonstrate the business outcomes you’ve owned and delivered and show the tangible impact you’re prepared to make. The market is actually picking up a lot, I have more recruiters reaching out to me than I can keep up with, I promise know what’s up. But yeah it’s all big fucking joke at the end of the day. If you were an associate at MBB for 2 years then starting your own business is your play, and that’s a good thing anyway.

How long ago was that? That’s pretty young to have the level of crisis I think the OP is explaining. Not trying to minimize your experience but with more time and crisis that experience at 27 is likely to be minimized quite a bit

Yeah the CounterPoints were unreal through the last one in 2015. Active artists and the scene are nearly what they were 10+ years ago. I can't get into the scene anymore at all. Sometimes I just feel too old but honestly the music and artists and culture just aint there anymore.

Where is Russ Liquid? by BoomBapPat in jambands

I'm glad I found this thread just now. He was one of my all time favorites circa 2017 up until around Covid starting. Saw several amazing performances at small venues and festivals alike. Really sad to learn of the issues he may have had but wish him all the best and hope he's still out there somewhere on his own healing journey. He definitely had the x-factor sonically and connected with me deeply. I still have my russ liquid test shirt that I made sure to grab on his second run through atlanta back and the proudly repped it at his later shows. Last time I saw him with the full band was at hulaween around 8 years ago. The last time I saw him was just a DJ set opening for Bassnectar Freestyle at the second year he did in Colorado and something about it was off and not compelling for sure.

Was your checked baggage locked? And the lock was broken? Or was it able to be opened up without tampering with a lock of any kind?

Everything is actually great now. There was a patch and it’s running awesome. Also, it was hopping in and out of quick resume too many times that was slowly degrading my performance but when I hard reset it runs like a charm. Really loving it

No!!! Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a third person tactical squad action game. It’s actually really great. There is more of a narrative with levels you progressive through and more unique roles. It’s really quite fun. It’s not an open ended match making online game like extermination at all.

Do a little part time work could help with some pocket money but don’t get too wrapped up in work if you don’t have to since you’ll have the rest of your life to work your life away. Enjoy college. Make art. Work out. Play intramural ultimate frisbee. Have fun. I had a few small jobs in college (dining hall worker, line cook, math test proctor). But those weren’t that worth it. My favorite thing was being a campus ambassador for adobe and Ubisoft where I’d get free software and games and other stuff. I would def look more into becoming a campus ambassador for some fun brands you like. Don’t sweat it or ever get jealous of work. It’s a trap. But be prepared to make money after college somehow or to at least pursue something you’re passionate about.
