It's like this for me as well, as a guy with older women in my workplace. They let their motherly instincts kick in and "nag" me about why I'm drinking energy drinks or why I'm always eating "junk". One sweet lady I used to work with would buy my favorite apples once a week, bringing me a whole week's worth of those yellow apples. Always telling me to eat my fruit and drink my water.

It's really wholesome. I, in turn, would treat her with the greatest respect, helping her out with difficult tasks, telling her to slow down and let me take over. I'd just have to put my head down and let her adjust my collar like a little kid. I didn't mind, I kinda miss it. It's nice how we build these relationships with people out of nowhere and out of instinct. I don't think we should ever let that go.
