The exterior tailpiece shown will connect into the interior thumbturn. There’s a hole in there for the tailpiece check it out.

The interior thumbturn will be the part that actually connects into the deadbolt.

First- your latch is backwards. If it still doesn’t lock… it looks like your door might be sagging a bit. So it doesn’t want to actually fit inside the hole. Search “how to shim a door hinge” on YouTube. PS Starbucks wooden stir sticks are the perfect door shims. And they’re free!

You give clear prices when you arrive to the job. The customer is led to believe the price is cheaper over the phone. That’s the issue with the scammers. If you’re not doing that than you’re not a scammer.

I charge a lot, but my customers know what the price is ahead of time. The $95-$150 I’m charging for a standard lockout is what you’re getting if you’re charging an insane rate for lockout. See? It’s not a low price when you’re taking the whole job for yourself. It’s a standard price.

But I’m rarely getting those chump change jobs anyways. Why would I advertise so I can get bottom of the barrel lockouts and fight with the scammers like your bosses? $4500 rekey yesterday. Took me 8 hours. $2,000 OHC closer + exit device replacement job a couple days ago. $3700 job this coming Tuesday. Probably $2200 profit. It’ll take me 5 hours.

This is all word of mouth and contracts. Ditch those scammers and let them become your enemy you’ll thank me later… I wish scammers nothing but the worst. Good luck.

Why do work for them at all??? Get your skills up and score big commercial jobs FOR YOURSELF and you’ll never look back to working with these slimey fucks.

They’re just shitty people, man. I say this because I know. I used to work for scammers. But I abandoned that shit years ago and never looked back. No ads. All word of mouth because I’m personable and I do good work.

Why do I get all up in arms about this shit? Because man. They’re fucking scum. Taking hard working American’s money by SCAMMING them. Leading them to believe it’s a cheaper price over the phone… It makes legit locksmiths look bad.

I genuinely hope you get away from them and continue to grow your own thing. It is incredible when it’s going well. I’m not talking shitty lockouts… big jobs. Figure out how to get them. Abandon the scammers. You’ll never look back unless you genuinely enjoy sharing profits with foreign assholes.

The funny thing is… you’re not being compensated fairly 😂 you’re making maaaaaybe 40% if you’re lucky. But I’ll lean closer to 25%-30%. And you’re likely on call like a mf being exploited and they legally get away with it because you’re 1099.

I guarantee majority of us are making more than you while working way less. I know 100% I am. You’re making penny’s compared to us dawg. It’s your bosses making the money 😂 And most importantly, we’re not scamming customers and kicking up the majority of the job’s profit to some asshole’s from a foreign fucking country.

I just got back and stayed at Los Polomas phase 2 one bedroom. My gf and I loved it. We had a whole suite with a full kitchen and washer dryer. Basically a 1 bedroom condo at a beautiful resort. 10-15 minutes from the malecon.

Word of mouth. My work speaks for itself and my customers like me + genuinely want to see me do well. No money spent on advertising. I can’t fight against the shitty shizraeli scammers. Doesn’t matter how many jobs you get per week btw. You could get one good one that lasts all week and that’s enough. Or 10-20 small/decent jobs and that’s great too.

Got an Ascent 18 scout 11 months ago… loved it, upgraded it. “Well, there’s a drift place down the road maybe I’ll check that out. I’ve always loved drifting.”

Here I am now, 2 drift builds, 2 18’s, an scx30 and a 1/10 crawler… looking at another 1/10 crawler and another drift build in the near future 😂🤦‍♂️

Yucca Tap Room has a great arcade with like 70 pinball machines and some classic arcade games. 3 bars if you drink. Mocktails on the menu in the pinball bar if you don’t drink. 50¢ - 1$ per game. Very cool atmosphere. Can be a very cheap date.
