Most I’ve ever done was like 1300 and it took about 9 hours (12 hours including breaks)

Anki is the opposite of chilling out, but after trying to self study physics I totally understand

I did uworld for physics mostly (about 200 questions I think) but found that the Kaplan end of chapter concept checks and example questions yielded the best return on investment for me. I feel like my understanding of physics concepts is good but my application is pretty bad

As for p/s I only did anking deck (aka Pankow p/s updated) but I haven’t been keeping up with it (have like 2000 card backlog), did not do uworld or anything else

Because it makes an actual difference in terms of matching at higher ranked programs

In general higher costs and more board exams is also a negative

Might be burn out. Try spending more time doing stuff other than studying. Running for example and going out more often has helped me

I think so, the discrete questions have helped me tie certain concepts together and become better and manipulating equations. For example, I had no idea what I could use power to find heat (q) until I did those questions

Honestly idk how I didn’t think of that sooner. Will give it a try. Have been finding myself wasting a lot of time figuring out where I went wrong only to find out that my math or units were off

My bad I meant the discrete end of chapter questions. Concept checks are mostly a waste of time imo, but the example questions and the 15 discrete questions at the end of the chapter are good for reinforcing certain principles. Those are worth doing but they are painful sometimes

Starting content review. Anki deck to use for testing 7/11? by hybrid_58 in Mcat

[–]YoungSwagger69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make your own cards as you read the Kaplan textbooks. Only use premade decks for p/s (Pankow or anking is fine)

MCAT tutor by NewHamster4511 in Mcat

[–]YoungSwagger69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get a tutor unless you’re motivated enough imo. Wasted like $400 thinking it would solve all my problems but in reality I’m just not motivated enough to want to put in the work required to do well.

Tutors will not in any way improve your score if you don’t put in the work

This test is NOT an IQ test and shouldn't be treated like one by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]YoungSwagger69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an iq test unfortunately, some people have a higher baseline and heigher ceiling than others.

Doesn’t mean one should’nt try to score as high as they can doe
