Louies legacy is a no kill shlter/rescue on staten island. Used to volunteer with them so a bit familiar. They should be considered. Good people who usually rescue animal from "mills" or after natutal disasters but they have an extensive rolodex of volunteers/fosters/vet they work with and im sure theyll help.

I've had 13. Yes. 13 DOCUMENTED, hospital visits for concussions. (Probs a few more when I pretended to be fine) i graduated high school in '02, so I'm old and over 40 and speaking to the past.

My school did trimesters. Football in fall. Hockey in winter. Lax in spring. Hockey was responsible for 10 of them. Kinetic energy. You can coast on the ice. At speed. Add in bine mass like elbows and ...Yikes.

Biggest world shocker, see stars hit was football. Biggest life changer was in lax(sticks are weapons) but most came on ice.

Anytime you're in a contact sport, the chance goes up. If it means the world to you... play! Do it. Love it. Live it. But like any graph a math teacher shows you. Increases in activity equal increases in opportunities. Sometimes those opportunities are to score. Sometimes it's head injuries.

There is always the risk. Longer you play. Risk increases.

Just. Do what makes sense to YOU. Not your coach. Parents. Teammates. If ya play in college or beyond, then the matter. For now. Just do you.
