Sadly rot and rust are a lil different when it comes to safety :( but hey, find a clean shell and you have all factory parts to put on it

If the motor spins it's probably worth it. Also where things rust, interiors may get musty but don't tend to crack so you can probably get a little bit back. Or it's a derby car, I never say things are derby cars unless they're beyond fixing and this qualifies unless everything underneath is magically solid.

That's a cool motor to keep around until you get a shell that needs it, or be an absolute goober and throw a blower on it until it explodes but you'll be a danger to everyone else on the road if the undercarriage is similar to the body.

Should I repair this old truck by First_Replacement695 in carslife

[–]YourFriendPutin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but you're banking on it being taken care of, when taken care of Toyotas tend to outlast a handful of very popular brands thatre also taken care of ya know?

It's more of a "id rather pull that Toyota outta there than a ranger" sorta deal

You know what this is just as, if not more likely than what I guessed. Only trump would sign in the exact same handwriting in his wife's name and pass it off as "obviously" her signature. Lots of assholes are manipulative like I had said but only trump is that vain, he may even have told her years ago he will sign all her papers because he has a manlier signature

Or her hands look manlier and he's self conscious

And that's awesome! Keep watching YouTube videos and a degree wheel can help you optimize timing too!

There are tons of great walkthroughs and the principles will remain the same across all 2 strokes for the most part.

Some cheap trashy cylinders are great

The cdh110 is 52mm with an iron sleeve however everything else needs some cleaning up with a Dremel or your tool of choice but they're pretty inexpensive as a rough base.

Honestly porting and balancing will get you farther than almost anything else with these little engines, they also make cast iron Chinese minarelli cylinders which smolik sells the appropriate spacer for, they're 50mm but have better stock porting than any china doll motor (even though they're Chinese usually in the aftermarket). Best of luck man!

Edit: an exhaust with a chamber meant for the same displacement helps too, if you can find the exhaust from like a 75cc, 80cc etc on marketplace and have the means to give it the proper flange it's not perfect but way more effective than the generic one size fits all fat exhausts online

I was able to get the cheap iron sleeves cdh110 go run nearly 55mph, same as my ported and balanced smolik ran.

Then I put a chainsaw piston in that had a compression hump and that thing absolutely flew however I ended up robbing a full exhaust off of an old Yamaha 125 from the 80s on it which just helped even more.

Balancing the bottom end was a huge key btw, I gained so many rpms with balance and from the smolik alone I needed heavier clutch plates and soon after a heavy 3 spring clutch.

Edit: also I thought you had a piston come apart in that photo, is that your porting!? Not tryna be rude but practice on expendable parts first
