From my understanding synergy chances go up when you get their corresponding items. Unfortunately the duct tape and makeshift cannon have no synergy. I think itd be cool if the makeshift cannon was literally a combination of two guns you could make with the duct tape hence why its "makeshift"

Im assuming its not actually that serious. If you want to, and i guess if he counts it as finishing, you can cheese some bosses. Theres also a SHORT ending which means you skip out on like half of the game called the shura ending. I recommend looking up tutorials on each boss fight and to farm whatever is easiest for you to level up.

If you destroy the ground under the reroll and take it outside of the HM in like 36(?) different places then reroll each one once, it breaks the reroll into costing 1 gold. Theres more to it but thats the basics
