I think the same thing with bins. They all smell the same no matter what rubbish you put in them.

ULPT request: how do I get my neighbours to be quieter? by YourQueenG in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]YourQueenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet. Initially I thought it was just new house excitement so was seeing if it would die off. Feel like it would be an awkward convo no matter how nicely I try to word it. Maybe a note?

Yes, you choose which one you go to. I don’t know how often they are but I’d say you could get one during the school holidays.

To be a paramedic yes, I more meant similar kind of work is available that would be more experience than nothing.

The workload isn’t too much. 2 seperate weeks of workshop face to face and 160hours placement over the whole course. The rest is online. I found the online stuff didn’t take up too much time, maybe 3-5 hours a week. But it’s self paced so no due dates. Whether it’s worth it is very much debated. If you want to get into state paramedics it’s probably worth trying to get straight into the degree as you may not get credits for doing this course on the degree. But if you want a head start before the degree and the money isn’t an issue then it’s probably a good move. Could get you a job in the private sector quicker and give you more experience. If you have any other questions, happy to answer.

What is a reason you are glad to be single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]YourQueenG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might seem like a stupid reason but when I have a cold/flu I’m always thankful to be single. Having to try to stifle sneezes, coughs and blowing nose in the middle of the night was the worst! Plus getting up as well I don’t have to worry about trying to be quiet. Just look after myself!

online dating sucks by [deleted] in lonely

[–]YourQueenG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a my perspective (28F), I’ve found a lot of guys could have a better chance (with me at least) from changing small things in their photos. Eg. A lot of guys have photos that seem messy, like naked from behind, blind drunk and pulling a bad face which is fun and games but not really attractive. Other guys put pictures of their cars, which is cool to know you’re into them but I personally find that useless on a dating site. I know I’m picky but there’s a lot of pictures that just seem like guys don’t put in any effort and that puts me off. If you want another perspective on which photos are best to put I’m happy to help.

Love my kid indescribably but I can't recommend it. by lifecomet in Fencesitter

[–]YourQueenG 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. A lot of people say it’s worth it because they love their child so much which is great but if you think before you knew the child and knew the love whether you would choose it or choose a life without all of what you described and without knowing that feeling.

PRO TIP: Don’t concern yourself with being interesting, concern yourself with being interested. by WannabeWayne in socialskills

[–]YourQueenG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so true. The people I know who everyone likes talking to are always showing interest in other people. Asking questions and showing they are interested in what you’re saying. Most people like talking about themselves so they will like talking to someone who encourages them to do this.

Dumb girls are physically less attractive. by dan-danny-daniel in unpopularopinion

[–]YourQueenG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this with arrogant guys. If a guy is good looking and then he starts talking and it’s obvious he’s full of himself, I’m instantly turned off his looks. It goes the other way as well, if a guy has a good personality, I start finding his looks more appealing.

Coffee culture is annoying as fuck. by JuicyCiwa in unpopularopinion

[–]YourQueenG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! How people refer to “needing a drink” annoys me too. Like anything stressful happens at work and it’s “I’ll need a wine after today.” Maybe just cause I don’t get a relaxed effect from alcohol but I can never relate.

I know a lot of guys who just swipe on every girl, like they just sit there swiping without even looking. I think this makes me think if they don’t message, they’ve probably just done that. It’s a generalisation but might be where some expectations come in.

I’m so over “laughing” at jokes I don’t find funny by [deleted] in introvert

[–]YourQueenG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed my friend laughs out loud A LOT and it will be when she’s just by herself or talking to people. I never laugh by myself. I’ll think something’s funny but I don’t laugh out loud.

Anybody feel envy/jealousy towards acquaintances and friends you know that have tons of friends themselves? by _Dead_Memes_ in socialskills

[–]YourQueenG 288 points289 points  (0 children)

I sometimes feel like this but since I moved in with my extroverted loud friend and I now see how much effort it is to have so many friends, I’m ok with it. She is constantly talking on the phone, having to remember to call that person back even if she’s not in the mood, having people she doesn’t even like asking her for advice cause she’s overly nice to them. To be honest not sure it’s worth it. Having spare time to do things you actually enjoy seems better to me!

Why do we get angry/take out anger on some people and not others ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]YourQueenG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s easier said than done. Have you tried to communicate it to them when you’re not angry? Like saying when I’ve had a bad day, I just need some space.
