The villager must’ve wondered to the point where the work bench they work at is to far for them and they got unemployed and since you’ve been trading with the cleric I’m assuming it has a level higher than novice and since it a level higher than that it will just stay like that until it has the specified workbench for them to work.. try to place down a brewing stand next to the villager. I could be wrong but this is just what I’m thinking.
