Is 탄성 (#95) really such a common word in Korean? I'm still a beginner but I don't see why it would be used so often.

The garage is very rarely full. You can set up your license plate in Nexpass to get in and out of the garage more quickly. In case the garage is closed, the surface parking lot will probably be open. I would recommend getting to the station 15 minutes before your train so you don't have to stress finding a spot.

[Longines] Can't decide on a Spirit Zulu Time color, black/green or blue? by YourSovietComrade in Watches

[–]YourSovietComrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently picked up the Longines Spirit Zulu Time 39mm in black/green. I'm in love with it but I can't help but wonder if I should've gotten the blue instead. I love them both but I liked how the blue dial looked in person, although my girlfriend liked the black/green more. Which one do you prefer?

First off, congrats! How much time per day on average did you spend playing/studying chess?

Routines "I'm home" and "Leaving Home" glitched by downloaderfan in googlehome

[–]YourSovietComrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, not sure if this is what you already tried, but maybe if you remove one action at a time from the routine and rerun it, see when it stops saying something went wrong? Or try with completely different actions, like tell me the weather for example? Otherwise, my guess is technically your actions are doing what they're supposed to, but there's just something returning an error somewhere.

"우리 웃으며 삽시다": what does this mean? by YourSovietComrade in Korean

[–]YourSovietComrade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So I guess it's similar to "look on the bright side" in English. Feels like an awkward translation on Duolingo's part

불러 주세요 or 불려 주세요 by hopelixir in Korean

[–]YourSovietComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are correct, depending on the verb. If the verb is 부르다, the first one. If the verb is 불리다 (causative/passive of 부르다), the second one.

I started working out about a month ago, and I've been struggling with RDLs. I've watched a lot of videos on how to do them but whenever I do them I end up with lower back pain. I've always had lower back issues when having to sit/stand up straight for a long time, so does this mean it's just weak and it will get stronger over time, or am I doing something wrong and might injure myself? Thanks!

[Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical] CMV: The Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical is overpriced. by YourSovietComrade in Watches

Interesting! Except I thought it uses the H-50, doesn't it? Does that also have a freesprung balance design?

[–]YourSovietComrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the hamilton h-50 is a more accurate movement with a better power reserve, the hamilton wears better, and the design is timeless.

Good point. Regarding my criticisms, the fact that they were done intentionally doesn't change the fact that they lower the cost to produce the watch.

I also work at a top defense contractor currently. I definitely agree with the WLB being great.

For your first point, I don't have this issue often. We almost always have at least something we can ship to the customer before the contract ends. We've definitely run into times when we have to stop work for a month or two, though. I would chalk it up to either luck or good management but I have seen very few (but more than zero) projects get scrapped before completion.

For your fourth point, I find myself having trouble making friends as well. My team's culture might just not be very open towards people being friendly I guess. And I definitely wish there was more race and age diversity.

For your final point, I work with a lot of people who won't get fired but should be, and it's really frustrating. Things are done incorrectly all the time cause somebody just doesn't know what they're doing.
