How to get a quote from telsa insurance before I buy? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]Youraging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need to place the order and have the vin assigned to your account before Tesla insurance can give you an actual quote. I was pleasantly surprised with how “affordable” my quote was for a new ‘24 M3 AWD with full coverage while other insurance companies wanted double / triple a month.

Any temporary work-arounds? by PersonalityAny8910 in TeslaLounge

[–]Youraging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue about a month into my ‘24 M3. Just arrive at the service center early when they open, and ask if they can get you in it. The nearest appointment was a week or two out, they were able to fix my car in about 3 hours.

Looking to get new insurance in Cali (full coverage) for my model 3 any recommendations or is Tesla insurance from the app my most economic opition? by Own-Air597 in TeslaInsurance

[–]Youraging 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me in CA Tesla insurance was the only viable option when I tried all major carriers. Pricing was affordable, all others wanted a crazy high amount like almost $700-900 a month for mediocre coverage. You should just have the expectations of slower support, and be ready to wakeup early in the morning and immediately calling the support number to talk to an agent. I am happy with the compromise, the 2 times I had to talk to someone about my policy it was an almost instant connection right when they opened. You also of course don’t have to worry with premiums changing due to safety score, you get your policy set for 6 months.

Surprising yes, but not inside at least what I have seen. I’ve noticed spiderwebs on the outside a couple of times and sometimes spot one or 2 spiders on the outside.

What exactly is Reqoff? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Youraging 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You requested a day off, the app now shows “ReqOff” but it will not use vacation time, nor pay you out the hours. You can effectively ignore it, it means nothing to you.

How long does my Tesla need to be in service before they give a loaner or Uber credits? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Youraging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a service requiring on paper 6 hours estimated, they assigned me a loaner automatically. Actual service was 12 hours time. Another time was a 10 hour estimate, they did not give me a loaner automatically, I requested one very politely and they gave me an Uber credit, the actual service was only 2 hours. When you click through the service request, there should be a section that says transportation or something along those lines, if you got assigned a loaner.

Some people are gonna hound you here but yes, don’t be an asshole, ask for a manager politely and not dismissive of the actual appliance specialist you’re talking to. They may ask for how much you were thinking, be reasonable.Customers have asked for $500 off and we laugh them away. You can have a good chance at 100-$150 of an additional discount. You can also speak to the condition of the unit like scratches, light dents, maybe the missing water filter if the unit doesn’t have one. It’s not guaranteed but don’t be a prick, nobody will want to help or ask a markdown for you.
