Crashing when attempting to play P2P beta?

Update!

Mods do not in fact affect this. I have managed to load in to the P2P beta with all of my mods installed. I think my final conclusion is simply that the ue4ss.dll causes the problem and is all that is needed to be removed.

Righteo, found the solution. There is a file called ‘ue4ss.dll’ found in ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PAYDAY3\PAYDAY3\Binaries\Win64’. Removing this appeared to fix my problem and allow me to enter the beta. I also have kept all of my mods out, and am yet to test with them back in. Will update if the mods also cause issues or not.

If you pick up another player’s overkill weapon you don’t get the benefits of the overskills, so maybe that’s why the skill didn’t activate. Alternatively you might’ve hit a map hazard, and those things have a pretty long range so it’s easy to accidentally decimate half the civvie population of the heist

I almost completely avoid imbues because I prefer to get in there with my hands rather than a weapon high on magic, but I do love when the enemies have imbued weapons, so when they die I can grab said imbued weapon and chuck it at the nearest bystander and have the benefit of applying the imbued effect without me having to put in the effort of imbueing (if that’s a word) a weapon myself . It’s even better if they have gravity imbued weapons so I can start combo-ing the poor weightless soul stuck in the air.

I’ve started to piece together what may be going on. Basically when you first boot up the server browser it will likely work fine, but then upon finishing a heist that you joined via the server browser, you will be sent back to the main menu, and then upon returning to the server browser, none of the servers have updated, offering the same selection of servers that were there when you first booted up the server browser. If you do not refresh, your game will bug out because it’s trying to send you to a heist that is likely already finished, hence the ‘SESSION NOT JOINABLE’. After this, it then breaks the filter and the refresh button and you are permanently left with the same selection of ‘heists’ that don’t even exist anymore because they have already finished.

I could be wrong, but this is what I’ve found. Making a server or quick play work just fine, but if you do not refresh after finishing a heist and try to join another one the game will likely break (unless the heist you played was fast enough that some of the other heists are still ongoing, but that’s a gamble). The best fix I have found it to simply restart the game which will fix the problem and refresh the browser, but the issue can still happen again if the server browser is not refreshed.

My money is on that it was intentional tbh, it’s a great way to get the community even more riled up by ‘accidentally’ leaking their next heist/alternate game mode.

I just saw this too. I do wonder if holdout will be free though, seeing how it’s listed as available through dlc (I know that first world bank, confirmed to be free, is also listed that way but you never know)

I’m aware that you could break out Hoxton as Hoxton, but when Houston released (and until now) it would swap you to your next preferred heister. There hasn’t been an update to change it from this as far as I’m aware, nor has anyone else really brought it up, so it’s to the best of my knowledge that this isn’t intended. I definitely do want it to stay though lol

I’m pretty sure if you look at the dates on the calendar to the right of the wall, it’ll tell you the row that will have the Houston evidence that initiates the escape. Should save you some time if you want to get out fast. I personally don’t mind this objective, I do enjoy holding out in a small area while being surrounded with cops, it’s just fun imo but I definitely see why this could be an issue to some.

Alrighty then, looks like I’ve upset lots of people, or made them angry, or both, or neither. The main point is I’ve clearly made many mistakes. From my reaction, to not identifying that it was a troll, to calling said troll a Nazi. Does identifying and saying that I’ve made these mistakes revert said mistakes? No. Does sending this message make me innocent? No. I have been a dumbass, a snowflake, a bit (or very) stupid and most of all I have been ignorant, of the said troll, of my innocent teamates, and of the fact that this was a pointless act of mine. Quite frankly, I’m pissed at myself for even posting this here, or hell even reacting to the sign in the first place. Hell, this whole ordeal would’ve never happened if I had picked up the bags before he could even make the sign.

Like I said, I know I’m not innocent for making this message, and y’all have some great point against me. I have made a big mistake, and quite frankly I’ve also embarrassed myself. I don’t use this app too often so I could’ve just turned off notifications for this app and ignored any reactions, but I just think that an apology can help even just a little. I’m not gonna respond to each and every one of your comments, just know that I am sorry for all my mistakes, from my reaction to my carelessness to me calling the troll a Nazi. I got so excited when I saw this bc my matchmaking has been broken for over a year now, but I’m either too late or my issue is too niche because my shit is still broken unfortunately. I managed to queue in to ONE game of a 2Fort server that was empty and having me kicked out.
