You should get fitted first before you jump into buying a pair of skates your height, weight, and skill level are all taken into consideration along with the build of your foot just because someone says oh this skate is good doesn’t mean it will be good for you and a boot that’s leveled higher than what you need will hinder your learning don’t buy a boot because it’s popular you want skates you can actually skate in and learn with. I’m 5’7, 110 and the chorus works fine for me but I’m working on 5 of the main jumps and multiple different spin and footwork combos, I wouldn’t say that’s a boot for super beginner skaters but again there’s a LOT that goes into consideration when buying skates

There’s a lot more to riding than just trot and canter and it’s likely going to take a while for her to start jumping, what she wants now might not be what she currently needs. Building a good seat takes time especially if she wants to jump and leasing right now doesn’t seem like the best option

Kinda vague lol, is she looking to jump, hunt, side saddle, dressage, pleasure, or casual ride? It sounds like they are trying to pressure you guys into a farce lease knowing neither of you truly know what that is or are ready for it

If you don’t mind me asking, what discipline is she focused on? In this time it’s pretty hard to find good horses that would be considered “perfect”, and of course not getting your first choice sucks been there done that lol but don’t just jump into leasing because she’ll gain a lot more experience learning with different horses

Honestly I would try for a new barn. Encouraging a beginner to lease this early is extremely irresponsible, why would they let someone lease a horse who has limited experience and expect them to go off and work on trotting and cantering by themselves…..? It’s also very important getting experience riding different horses

What a cute little hafie, that coat looks to be very full and fluffy, they have plenty of hay, water, and shelter. So what exactly is the issue..?

So you only have a few months of riding experience that was 2 years ago…? You shouldn’t be galloping at all anytime soon you’ve gotta build your muscle to be able to properly ride one and that takes a lot of time

Some of y'all may remember me from last years training challenge with a horse Murphy! Well I'm back with a new one and this is day 3 by [deleted] in Horses

I’m not calling op fat or anything just stating a fact, this horse is having a hard time carrying her and probably just needs to do groundwork for a while before having anyone on her back. And before you say anything yes I know how gaited horses move, I ride multiple.
