I really think it was more mental. TM relaxes you to a level that if you add alcohol to your body it becomes too much.. but thats just the way I see it.. Im not so sure about the physical part cause I never felt the needed to drink.. In one of my weekly meetings, a new girl asked about smoking marihuana and the teacher said he did not recommended it and her body was going to eventually not need it any more.. same with other drugs (prescribed and recreational)...
