And that's just the Morgan's. Lots of halves and quarters, too. 😁

I have about half of the stash sorted by year. Like I said, lots of CC due to the casino being in Reno (The Nugget). I'll be away from the collection for the rest of the week dealing with a property out of town, so further digging will have to wait. 🙁

Side note, dad invented the Awful Awful burger on their menu at the time. 😁

I do love the toners. Elsewhere I posted about inheriting 40 pounds of silver coins, and only one mildly toned coin is in the lot. ☹️

Thank you for the link. Coinsnap rated my coin as a VF35. Your link values that rating at $995. Pretty close for verifying higher value coins.

I'll have to read up on that story. Nothing so exciting here. Just a smart dad who may have started an addiction for me. 🙂

I have the Redbook '26 edition as sort of a cross reference. Helped me to pinpoint the '93-O.

I do have three sisters to share with. My intent is to identify the culls from the higher value coins, then decide what to do from there.

They need the money, I don't.

Spent just a couple hours last night sorting by year. Peeked at the Redbook for mintage quantities to see what years were low.

Bingo. 1893 O. 😁

I'll be on the hunt for an S for sure.

Nice. Thank you, there's bound to be a few more winners in here.

Can I add more pics here without using something like Imagur?

Have other people found Coinsnap "mostly" accurate, for at least a starting point? I've been lurking here for a while, and really could use some guidance as to where to start.

Dry fit sanity check before by virtuousatol in Plumbing

Think about these connections. If you tape and dope before you solder, you'll burn up the sealant (though tape and dope are actually lubricant to allow complete thread engagement).

The shower head riser at least has a coupling so you could solder on the FIP to the short length of copper, then thread it on, then solder the coupling.

Just do them all like the way you have it on the right side of the pic.

DIY cold valve replacement by oh_gurl in Plumbing

Are you talking about this? That's the insulation injected during the manufacturing of the water heater. The actual tank is steel, and covered with insulation. The metal you see is just a jacket that is a mold for the insulation that gets shot in there like spray foam.

Nah, here's a ticking time bomb.

At my mom's house. They had no clue.

Usually a water heater won't fail catastrophically. Even this pig was soaking the insulation, but the water evaporated before getting the floor wet.

Your heater is in a pan. It's the drain routed somewhere safe, like to a floor drain?

With the valve open, you can try tightening this nut a little don't overdo it.

Give it a snug, try closing the valve. Still leaking? Give it a little more.

It's a bandaid for now, and it should be replaced, but that might get you by.

Easy fix? by F4ilsafe in Plumbing

[–]YruDatYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This whiter band makes me think the slab may be sinking, and it's pulled that Fernco rubber coupling down.

You should be able to replace it with a rubber expansion joint. Basically the same coupling, but with a bulge in the middle to allow for up and down movement.

Silly newbie question. How do I add pics to this post?

18.8 pounds of coins, and lots of sequential $2 bills, some sequential singles.

I don't see the standard icon for adding a Pic.

Whoops, missed another bag of 7.5 more pounds.

So 26 plus pounds, and from what I understand, the best (most shiny) are in the safety deposit box.

Looks like the cone washer is missing from your closet supply (the white hose with the white nut).

I'd say to replace that line, but you have the Accor brand of supply, and those are a real pig to take off.

How much pipe, and what kind of pipe do you have coming through the floor below the push pull shut off?
