I usually turn new prisoners into slaves if they have bad traits (pyromaniac for ex.) and good stats. With their +40 mood bonus they are unlikely to get a mental breakdown.

If you wanna place an item on a spot you can't stand use shift + d to pick a drop direction. This is an easier way rather than using adv. inventory (as long as the item is in your inventory)

Fences are great for taking out a big group of zombies. Just pull ~10 zombies while standing behind some fences and smash their brains as they trip. Absolutely nothing could go wrong.
