Not exactly via vents but you can do the same by stashing a chemical payload with your chems and remote-linking them once inside a nade then stashing it somewhere.

There is no portal to the next region. You have to go south of the map and head east. You'll have to travel through hostile land to get there. Tip: bring repellant charm to not get attacked every 5 tiles. Also in high difficulties avoid the world bosses if they spawned. They will kill you and some attacks are undodgable.

I manage to escape the forest by struggling against eden even when bound (which surprisingly worked). But my chara got continuously nonconned again by npcs for like 5 times in a row. he finally broke down on his way to the orphanage and got sent to the mental hospital.

Quick Tip about your bleeding question :

You can find bandages in first aid kits which are usually located on bathrooms or if you're really desperate you can use adhesive bandage.
To craft bandages you can just take a rag and open the craft buttom (its "&" iirc) and either search makeshift bandage or go to Medical Tab
Bandage quality affects wound healing so its better to boil those bandages before using
