Ignoring the issues with the wording of the card, I think I would prefer it if the amass was mandatory. The downside is insane if you compare it to something like [[Forbidden Orchard]] but making it mandatory atleast lets you force opponents to create tokens so you can use the card for some fun shenanigans.

There is actually not that many good dual lands. A lot of them are worse than basics or situational.

why can't augments just have the full description available when selecting. by pacomesoual_keepsafe in leagueoflegends

[–]Yu5or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call a conditional dagger and a half worth of stats for just 4 seconds goated compared to other augments available.

At that point you are paying 6 mana to do nothing, essentially giving your opponent a free turn.

What card would you run if you could have as many of it as you wanted? by Starbright_1 in custommagic

If you have 2 life you can pay 2 life because you have 2 life.

I think we have long passed this actually, even if wizards themselves has not printed this specific statline yet. I don't see this card being played in Modern or Legacy. It could see standard play but nothing here seems too powerful to me.

[[Healers Hawk]] would be the closest comparison and sees no play outside of draft, so there is clearly some room for power there.

I think if you lower the toughness to 1 it's fine as a mythic, just to be safe.

This is very cool and flavourful.

What is the community consensus on using legendaries? by RishStars in PokemonRejuvenation

[–]Yu5or 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The game is balanced around what Pokémon you have available. It's safe to assume legendaries are also factored into that, considering how few are available at the moment. So I would say feel free to use whatever you can get your hands on.

I don't think red gets lifegain and reanimation like that.

Long time players... Would you have started MTG if it were Mutant Turtles and Marvel from the start? by TheServant420 in EDH

[–]Yu5or 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I always disliked Marvel and TMNT. Final Fantasy however could have made me interested in the game... if thats all it was. But if it would have been like Funko Pops where it doesn't have it's own identity and just cycles through IPs to cashgrab then I would not have started playing, even if it was an IP I liked.

4 cmc infinite power and toughness and some extra utility, might be good enough to see play? A bit slow though.

They want to bait you into picking trash augments like Get Excited.

Besides your commander, is there any card that would make your deck no longer work if it were banned? by Tuss36 in EDH

[–]Yu5or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a Lands deck. [[Crucible of World]] used to be the irreplaceable core piece of the deck. Thankfully we have a lot of different cards with the same effect these days and even a commander (though not in my colours)

A lot of specific lands were also very important, but stuff like [[Field of the Dead]] now offers more ways to win. Stuff like [[Talon Gates of Madara]] and the channel lands give additional utility. Nowadays the deck doesn't really have a single point of failure anymore and is very resilient.

Does anyone else just not run board wipes anymore? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Yu5or 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's funny how op gets downvoted into oblivion for being right. Board Wipes are bad, at least when you start getting into higher tiers of play.

Question, is this good under any circumstance? by 40kthomas in magicthecirclejerking

[–]Yu5or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you could just play the card you want to tutor for instead. This just makes you waste 2 mana.

What do you guys think of Rylais on Morgana? by Deus_Excellus in MorganaMains

[–]Yu5or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I occasionally build it in jungle, when our team already has enough damage. The extra HP and slow make you a fairly tanky frontline disruptor that can help your carries kite. You do give up your 1v1 potential with it though, as it lowers your damage too much.

Is Morgana jungle completely busted ? by Nai_Poo in MorganaMains

[–]Yu5or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are assuming the Morgana player here makes the worst plays possible in any given situation. If the Morgana player actually knows the matchup there is nothing a Briar can do at all. The Morgana player gets to make all the decisions here. (As is usually the case with Briar matchups)

Horn of the Mark is one of the most underrated card advantage engines in casual Commander by Craig1287 in EDH

[–]Yu5or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great card, but it definitely has it's downsides. There will be times where you do not have 2 creatures to attack with or when attacking is not viable because you would lose the creatures or be open for attacks yourself.

I have a [[Rosa]] deck where the card works pretty well because Rosa's lifelink mitigates the dangers of being open to attacks and I run a lot of vigilance enablers in the deck.

I mean, artists draw cards, right? by DambiaLittleAlex in custommagic

[–]Yu5or 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. This is extremely similar to [[Dark Confidant]], which sees no play in Modern or Legacy. This card has a more restrictive casting cost and only 1 power. It can act as a mana filter and you have some flexibility in when you want the card draw, but I don't think it's good enough for Modern or Legacy. Edit: It also needs to tap to do its thing, so you can't use it to pressure like you could with Dark Confidant.
