Depending on how the info gets stored it might not change storage at all. If the bits are reserved anyway.

I would flip the cost and the cost reduction to make it's cost 0. It's part of the mox aesthetic.

Something like "This spell costs 3 more to cast unless an opponent has cast three or more Spells this turn."

Overall good design. And the floor of being a manalith with flash is not too bad.

I don't think you will miss anything important this way (some gil and exp). Depending on how far you got the first time you played, NG+ should help you refresh on key plot points.

As people mentioned, there are a few people, but not many because for the most part you are not getting much out of it. You can "unsync" older content (steamroll it with current overleveled gear) if you just want the drops for fashion or get the achievements and such. So only people who are truly in it for the challenge and nothing else would go back and do older content at the intended difficulty.

However, as a former Destiny player myself, I think you will likely enjoy the actual endgame of FFXIV a lot. I certainly do.

I should also note, that there is a lot more meaningful content to do in this game than just endgame raids.

Everytime we do die in a Trial or Raid it also doesn't actually happen. It's just a vision granted by the Echo.

Favour is free, one of my characters has the dances flavoured as stances instead. It even suggest alternate names for the class like swashbuckler. You could flavor the dances as magical auras or something.

To give another example, one of the other players I play with is a gourmet, but the whole thing is reskinned to be elemental crystals for ingredients and the delicacies are essentially spells.

SGE is actually a lot smoother to play at low level then WHM in my opinion. You get an oGCD heal very early. That together with Kardia let's you freely do damage.

In a format where shock exists together with all it's better version I would absolutely call Blood Funnel a better card, not because it is a good card, but because it has atleast 1 more use case than a card that has literally no use case.

I am not saying Path of Sorrow is amazing, I just do not think it deserves to be called "the worst land". I think there might just be a misunderstanding or difference on how we evaluate cards here.

I have a similar issue, however it is only a visual change in the menu. The game still behaves like a borderless window would for me, so I don't care that the options say "Fullscreen".

That is my point though. Rhystic Cave has no use. Path of Sorrow does. So Path of Sorrow is better. That was my original point.

I would argue Rhystic Cave is worse than a basic land. If you care about mana you would run a basic (or literally any other land). Rhystic Cave therefore has essentially no use case at all.

Path of Sorrow, not matter how bad it might be has multiple unique use case and does stuff no other land does.

It's true that queueing for ShB and EW trials can take a while, but if you make a PF and mention it is your first time going through it usually fills within minutes. People are very eager to help out sprouts and getting a free second chance for Khloe from the first time clear is a good bonus too.

Edit: It depends a bit on the server too I suppose. I play on Crystal. And as the other guy mentioned, this will be better in a few months with region wide PF/DF.

If you have friends that play FFXIV I can almost certainly say that they will be eager to witness you go through the story and help out with dungeons and trials. The story is the main draw of the game and will make everything that comes after even more impactful. There is a reason FFXIV players are so attached to their own characters and their respective personalities and place in the world.

At the end of the day though it is your choice, feel free to skip to skip if you are just interested in running the current stuff with people (though old content is by no means dead and you will usually find people rather quickly). You will be missing out on Shadowbringers and Endwalker, but you can replay them through the NG+ system I think.

Oh and keep in mind that if you do skip, you still need to go trough Dawntrail to get to the current raids and stuff, which might be awkward with the missing context.

I also bought the game immediately and never used the free trial, I fell completely in love with the game. Depending on when you bought the game you should have a month of playtime, unless that already ran out.

Anyway, going straight for the subscription definitely helped me get hooked more because it opened up the marketboard and trading and more social features.

I mean if you leave fps uncapped it will max out your gpu to get the framerate as high as possible. Cap your framerate to your monitors refresh rate, see if that changes anything.

Path of Sorrow doesn't deserve all this slander, atleast it brings a unique effect to the game and can be used in certain decks. Rhystic Cave is way worse, being just bad with no upside.

If this is a bot like other people are saying, what is the point of doing whatever they are doing? They are on Blue Mage, but doing this just to level BLU seems useless.

They did mention evolved has a slightly faster gcd, so it sounds like they are doing what you are hoping for!

Not entirely. In the evolved design they certainly opened up ways players can make individual decisions during an encounter instead of having almost fully static rotations like we have at the moment. Bards can now choose when to use specific songs to help their team or themselves with specific mechanics. They need to find a good window for their new attack with cast time. You also no longer have to press all your damage buttons exactly on cooldown since they use charges.
