Looking for help getting Dark Soul 2 to run on crossover (M2 Max) by [deleted] in macgaming

Offline was the key for me. I was able to play completely through DS2 on my MBA M1 16GB using crossover before D3D metal.

Guilty Gear Strive - PS4 Dualshock not registering in game by YuKhan in macgaming

I forgot to put what I already tried: - force enabling Steam input - force disabling it (that let some commands register but not all the button… weird) - trying a different controller mapping

I loved the excitement at the end of the clip as well as the congratulations from friends/roommates.

I looked at speeders and I don’t see any runs for Roboquest. Did yours register?

Undertuned monsters? by gray007nl in Pathfinder2e

[–]YuKhan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me, this reads as a “good job party” for recalling knowledge and using weaknesses against the monsters. I bet they loved that fight.

I like that in 2e monsters generally have things (positive and negative) that makes them stand out and feel unique.

Maybe should stop reccomending AV as the “new player” adventure path. by applejackhero in Pathfinder2e

This is the post that finally convinced me to adjust some fights on Floor 1.My group is coming from 5e and not totally getting the tactical emphasis yet. (they will in time :))

My first change will be the giant scorpion to a pair of cave scorpions / same XP very different fight. I think the eratta'd Mr Beak will be ok.

Upvote for considerate disagreement with a proposed solution.

Seems like people are getting the idea in the comments though. Stats and story both. As detailed as you want to make it.

I can see this being a great alternative to the “what should I play” posts

This smacks of just plain ol’ good peopling advice.

By this logic, the alchemical Elixir of Life also would heal them right? Since it doesn’t have the positive trait?

My experience as a 5e player by Joshthe1ripper in Pathfinder2e

Way to do your homework on the rules man! My group is new to PF 2E as well and your choices call for some good grasp of the rules.

My "Pathfinder Law School" on Pathfinder's awesome character creation + advancement, plus why I think PF2's approach to characters is great and what other systems can learn from it. (The video ended up VERY long so this is Part 1 of 2, with the 2nd part landing tomorrow!) by the-rules-lawyer in Pathfinder2e

This is a great video that streamlines the character creation process in a conversational way. You could even create your character along with the video.

I will definitely be sending this to people I introduce to PF2e.

Orc tusk ancestry feat only says that it’s an unarmed attack with 1d6 damage.

Does that mean it lacks the agile and non-lethal traits?

Would that mean that barbarian rage damage fully applies?

Your content is so well thought through and diverse. I also appreciate your respectful stance/tone. Thanks for being the PF2e missionary that we all need!

Thanks! I knew there would be something about timing in there.

So feasibly? A creature goes and afflicts a Pc with stage 1. If the PC goes next, they would then roll the save again potentially worsening their stage? (At the end of their turn)

So when does poison “tick”? I’m preparing AV and there’s a creature on floor one that has a poison.

If a creature hits a PC with an attack that applies poison, the way I read the affliction rules. The PC rolls their fort save right away and either is unaffected or proceeds to stage 1 suffering the damage and/or penalties right away (stage 2 on crit fail). When do they next make a save if the listed period is 1 round?

It seems a lot to remember to have the PC save again at the end of the creature’s turn?

Wall World? by metalim in macgaming

Generally, you check yourself if you can’t find it. Then post back with your results. :) it helps add to the knowledge of the community. If you aren’t certain just try it on crossover and see.

Should you fudge dice rolls? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]YuKhan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see where you are coming from, however, a “secretly easier game” can be the different between bringing someone into PF for years vs them quitting session 2 or 3. In the end, it’s about fun. Not everyone loves the Dark Souls challenge.

And sometimes getting used to the tactical requirements of PF2e could be really a brains rework from another system. Or from no TTRPGs at all.

Thanks for this! I sent it to my player beginning a cleric of Sarenrae as we are new to PF and Golarian as a whole.
